Hawks have about $19M in cap space left, but effectively none if you include Horford's hold. At least 1 of Baze and Horford definitely gone.

Dwight to Atlanta. Interesting. Horford is probably moving, then?

I don't know how the Hawks will do this season. Obviously there's still a lot of free agency left, but I'm wondering what they are attempting to do. I can't say they're getting better.

Dwight Howard 3 years 70 mil
AL Jefferson 3 years 30 million

        Let that sink in...

          It ain't shade.

If you come out of the draft and free agency with Jaylen Brown and Al Horford and a bunch of scrubs...you lost man. That's not shade. That's the truth.

Y'all passed on Kris Dunn...got used by Duhwight for Atlanta to up their offers to him and you're hoping for Al freaking Horford? Man...Danny Ainge got y'all sniffing pixie dust in New England.

And Jeff Green isn't taking minutes from Aaron Gordon on a 1-year deal. What am I missing? He's a backup.

Guess we're all high off that pixie dust. I don't see the addition of Al Horford as a negative. And I don't know where you're getting the Dwight info from. Atlanta was the first meeting he took.

you must have a different opinion on Horford than I do because if the Celtics get Horford the off-season was a success.

The good side about Mozgov is that he won't come in the way of the players development and instead brings what the lakers need. A defensive presence in the lane, a guy who can set good screens, and know his role. If he can stay healthy with the cap increasing again next year he's not that bad of an addition.

Spurs, Golden State wanted him. Two much better situations. Lakers had to overpay a little bit in order to get him.

There are what looks like worst deal out there. For better players, sure, but they still seem like worst deals to me.

AL Jeferson doesn't fill the need of a lot of teams, that's why his price is low. A slow footed post up center who doesn't play much defense. That has lost a lot of value in today's NBA.

Good signing for Dwight. It could work out for him there.

Dwight Howard's 3-year, $70.5 million deal is totally guaranteed with no option & about $7 million more than Hawks' 1st offer, source said.
Dwight had a meeting scheduled with Boston. Why did Atlanta up the offer?

And last I checked...the Thunder and Rockets are trying to land Horford. Billy Donovan was Horford's coach at Florida. He's definitely not a lock to head to Boston.

That kind of contract can't be justified in my eyes for a role player, LA could have done better.

Why would we even schedule a meeting with him? Even if he was serious he wouldn't make any sense for us at the price he's going to want and is a bad fit regardless.

Well it could be one too many straws broken for him. He's taken paycuts multiple times to help the team out and as stated before, Heat made Whiteside and KD their top priorities over Wade. Heat have $19 mil left in cap space and I doubt they wanna use all that on Wade. I can definitely see him leaving, not sure if I really see the Heat as contenders even with Bosh healthy, and that's a huge question mark in of itself.
