The 2012 Final vs Spain was pretty competitive(was watching that at work last night). More competitive than I thought, TBH and we sent our A team that year.

      You wrong for that Bolt.

I honestly couldn't care less about Olympic basketball. It would mean more to me if it were our best college players out there than these NBA All-Stars.

No tears shed from me if we don't win an Olympic gold medal in basketball. Flag me...call me unpatriotic or whatever. The games are unwatchable much like what the All-Star game has turned into.

Olympic Track & Field and Soccer I'm into. Swimming at times.

But Olympic basketball is meh to me. Sue me.

I think it's a duration thing. I'm trying to think of another Olympic event that doesn't last a matter of seconds (a round) that I feel the same way about. Volleyball? I don't think I'd stay engaged for a blow out because of how long the matches take. I'd still rather send the best (available) and if that means a 50 pt victory that even I don't want to watch, so be it.

I'm another that is all in on watching game after game of good old American *** whooping every few years. We have the best players in the world in this country and I want to see them come together for these few special occasions and break a collective foot off in the rest of the world's asses unleashing their full powers that we don't always get to see. If DeMar want to be out there dunking on a prime minister, do that **** bruh. LeBron gonna be out there throwing down hammers off a sick lob from Steph Curry? Do that **** bruh. Yolo Kobe wanna get there knocking down 40 foot jumpers over 3 defenders? Do that **** bruh. I'mma be jumping up and down with Real American blaring in the background at home enjoying the **** out of it.

I'm with you, but I'm not going to lie... before the semi's I won't be making sure I'm in front of the tv like I would for some other things. If I'm home and it's on, I'll most likely be in. But a team of college stars (like back in the day) with a chance of losing, I'd be more likely to tune in for every game. So I kind of get where people are coming from.

I just can't say that's an excuse to send less than our best. That's like the MLB All Star Game deciding HFA in the WS. Yes, the All Star game doesn't keep people engaged, but no that doesn't mean you bastardize the entire playoff structure to get a few more eyes to watch a little longer. The Olympics should be the best from every country in every sport. I'm sure many players on the other countries' teams are excited to get beat down by NBA all stars.

I want it all, even though I cant get that this year with the lineup

                  I want lobs

                  I want total glass domination

I want other countries shots blocked to Bolivia

I want somebody to get crossed up because they can't handle NBA level speed

I want the 3-point stroke to hit Steph Curry DBZ levels

I want to see other teams demoralized

I want to see someone jump to attempt a block and get completely dookied on

I want Draymond to do some weird celebration to opposing crowds in the moment

I want Klay to lose his mind out there like a B-52 bomber

I want the score to get out of hand

I wanna see them pour it on

I wanna see a cocky opponent get completely neutered

I even wanna see Bricks acknowledge that he didn't belong on the team

I wanna see Lowry get as few minutes as possible

and I wanna soak in every single moment I can.

Lastly I Wanna see that Gold Medal on our players right before they start NBA training camp.

If you don't want the same, what's wrong witchu?

Draymond can do a remix version of Barkley's dunk on that poor, skinny, buck forty weighing Angolan.

Yeah, I know that we are in the big time minority, but I totally agree about wanting the college players to be there. Watching the kids try and win the Gold would be much more interesting for me.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Sending college kids sounds like a great idea... until Cory Joseph is hanging 30 on us because Denzel Valentine is our primary wing stopper. No thanks. No need to handicap ourselves. Like others have said, they didn't take it easy on us in soccer.

Actually they do. Most teams are under 23s or younger in Olympic soccer. The Olympics was supposed to be an amateur competition.

Bruh those U-23 players getting paid. Hell Brazil is sending Neymar who is getting paid millions per year. And same thing with Germany, they are sending guys getting paid millions.
