The whole point. Organizations get rid of players who are loyal too..

This whole hot takes thing from bitter crybabies is already old.

Some guys just don't have the touch needed on free throws although it is concerning that Howard's free throw percentage has dropped since he has been in the league. An 8-10 foot bank shot is what Howard has needed in his game. Wilt Chamberlain had this shot in his arsenal so there is no reason why Howard can't.

He had that banker for about 5 minutes, and then he just stopped using and working on it.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Reading about how Cuban asked Dirk how much he wanted, and just kept offering him more and more until they were done and there was only so much money available. I cant believe they can't sign anyone, why don't guys wanna play for Cuban? Maybe they feel like they'll always be secondary to what Dirk wants?

Probably because Dirk isn't the issue. Something is probably wrong, but it hasn't come out.

Agreed, Nowtizki is still a potent force in the attack zone. I liked the Bogut signing for them though. A serious rim protector.

Just all of a sudden he stopped working on it, strange.

I don't think Dirk or Cuban are the issue.

Two types of teams attract top free agents: teams with LeBron and teams with young, drafted talented players. (Edit: I should take away young so this applies to the Spurs as well)

Dallas has neither. They mortgage their future every year and have nothing to show for it but Dirk.

How can they attract free agents on empty promises?

They essentially tell guys, "we sign you and next year we will sign him."

That has worked once, in New York, with Melo.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Can't remember where I read it, but it was very recent, that the reason nobody wants to go to Dallas is because they don't like Carlisle. Hell of a good coach, but players just don't want to play for him.
"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."
