Reading on the Ringer that John wall seems to be a pocket watcher lol. I can see why he'd look at Beal and be like "this guy is making more than me?" but if he really believes he should be getting Harden money he's delusional.

Reading more, it seems like he just feels he should be a superstar. He told Yahoo "I ain't got no billboards in DC" he sees himself as top tier, and wants to be seen by others the same way.

I don't think that's what this is though. As petty as Wall seems to be about not getting more superstar love, he is THE man on the Wizards and the PG to boot. Beal needs to sit down somewhere with that mess about them needing each other. Yes, Wall needs him for the Wizards to make any serious noise, but the problem is he hasn't had him yet. Beal's always either injured or recovering from injury, making him consistently inconsistent. He's also the one making waves about contract. Seems like a nice kid, but loves putting the cart before the horse.

DC is a weak sports town in general (minus 'Skins), so I'm not sure where he wants "billboards" and stuff at. The Wizards, Nationals and Capitals will always be 2nd rate to the much more loved (and followed) 'Skins. The Wizards do a pretty good job of treating him like the most important/best player, IMO. The league and sponsors will probably never see him or treat him like a top tier superstar cause he isn't one.

That whole Nationals/Orioles thing has to do alot with broadcasting rights (which belong to Peter Angelos) and trying to eat into each other's market share.

Phil could've gotten Jae Crowder from Boston in the TysonChandler trade he made in his first year, but chose instead a pick that ended up being Cleanthony Early because he didn't think Crowder would play behind Melo.
