re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Winning cures all man
Lebron PLANNED his moves for 2 years to team up with 2 Top 3 players at their positions(at the time and yes this was generally accepted)but because the team he went to only won 40 something games before he joined them is fine.
Heh.#RespectTheCultureComment

I think it's funny that Chuck said he and Malone could have "cheated" their way to a title like "today's players" are.
Ummmm, didn't you both try that? lmao

2016 Offseason Thread
This team has 4 NBA all-teamers, 2 MVPs, 2 scoring champs, coach of the year, etc.. Not to mention depth on top of it all. They aren't trotting the likes of Arroyo and Joel Anthony out as starters. Bosh, though underrated defensively, wasn't even an all-NBA teamer, so basically every year there were at least 15 guys voted better than he..
It's a little different even if you want to mock the win total argument.
But it is what it is, can't hate on KD for picking the place with the best shot to finally win it all.

That's the same kind of situation KD left though, right? The amount of guys defending KD is insane. You know how lame it would've been for LeBron to join the 2010 Celtics? Or Shaq to join the 96 Bulls? Cause this is the same thing.Comment

You know that's not where the ball stops. He also left a franchise that in 7 years, produced Mo Williams as his best teammate, clueless Mike Brown was his coach. Dude wanted to win but COULDN'T in Cleveland.

KD made it to the Finals and saw the team trade their 3rd best player. He was on the court 4 years later when they lost a series they should have won because the front office could never find a 3 and D guy or anyone capable of playing the 2 decently. Then they traded their 3rd best player again. Clueless Scott Brooks was his coach. DUDE WANTED TO WIN BUT COULDNT IN OKC!Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

That could be good for both sides.
I'm hearing the Bulls aren't in NY?
So, just the Heat left.
Back to the Heat after the Heat meeting, thanks for playing everyone.Comment

Planning 2 years in advance to go play with your best friends on another team = Good. "BUT HE WANTED TO WIN AND WANTED TO GET RINGSZZZZZ!"
Leaving your team to go join a team who had the best record in the regular season and played in the Finals = Cardinal Sin of Basketball.#RespectTheCultureComment

- Durant and co just flat out choked a 3-1 lead this year. Had nothing to do with the front office not finding the right players. They had 3 chances to win that series and couldn't.
- Who was his other good teammate? Russell something? I think he's pretty good. Maybe not Mo Williams good though.
- He COULD HAVE won in OKC. He had all the necessary tools to succeed this year. Like I said, they had bad breaks from 2013-2015. But this year was just a choke job. No one to blame but himself.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
It's weird as hell. According to the Bulls beat guy from ESPN who's usually pretty reliable covering the team, he's saying his sources are saying nobody from the Bulls is in New York. But I trust Woj more than anybody and he's saying they're on tap for a meeting today so I'm gonna roll with whatever Woj is saying. This could be historic if a local ESPN guy has a scoop over Woj though.

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Us Sports Fans love putting qualifications on everything, especially NBA Fans lol.
To be a HOF, you must:
-Take 1 pay cut at minimum
-Lead a team from last place to the Finals in 2 years or less.
-Play with the same team for at least 10 consecutive years.
-Not change shoe contracts
-Not make max contract money.
What else am I missing?#RespectTheCultureComment
