He is worth more than $100 million dollars and is like going to make close to half a billion dollars after his career is over (endorsements and salary combined), so it ain't about "counting someone else's money." He can live whereever he wants, anyhwere in the world. Cost of living doesn't mean **** in his tax bracket. And just to prove that point, he's leaving a place with a low cost of living to an area with the highest cost of living in America.

In my opinion it's pretty different. Lebron, Bosh, and Wade were trying to create a super team, whereas KD joined an already established super team.

You take Lebron off that Heat team and they probably go to a couple ECFs and maybe one NBA final if they're lucky. On the other hand, if KD never goes to the Warriors they are still the favorites to win it all next year after coming off a 73-9 season. Just not really comparable. I don't know if one is "worse" than the other, all of that is subjective. Those are just some differences.

I mean, none of this really matters and we all know the perception of this Warriors team will completely change once they get a couple championships.

Why isn't it close to what Lebron did?

One player lost to a team that dropped a 3-1 lead and went to the team that beat him. The other left his home town team that had the best record in the league to team up with his buddies in South Beach. What makes one player jumping ship worse than the other?

Do this situations have to be exactly the same in order for one move to not be considered "weak sauce" and the other being smart/great or whatever title you guys want to give it?

                The DA Man:

Bucks believe Wade is “very serious” about them. But they can’t offer him as much $ as Denver/Miami w/o trading player for pick(s).

                Psst, trade Monroe.

The situations are completely different though. Lebron didn't sellout and jump ship to join a team that he couldn't beat. And Lebron left his home team to go to Miami, but then he came home and WON them a championship.

                  Lebron has class, KD doesn't.

Then they traded their 3rd best player again. Clueless Scott Brooks was his coach. DUDE WANTED TO WIN BUT COULDNT IN OKC!
They blew that series because Russ and Kevin choked, plain and simple. Game 6 2016 WCF (and to a lesser extent 2014) will forever be the lasting memory from his time in Oklahoma City. Turning the ball over, defering and looking scared.

Maybe they can all get over choking together and rule the NBA.

Steven Adams was easily the 3rd best player throughout the playoffs. Ibaka has regressed a ton and I'm surprised Presti got so much for him especially when he might be a one year rental.

My thing is this: Why is one acceptable but the other a sin?

Why is it OK for the best player in the game to be PLANNING TWO YEARS AHEAD of his free agency to go play with his boys on another team while still playing for his current team? He was basically saying "I don't care about ya'll because I'm gone in 2 years anyway to go play with my homies".

It was the worst thing in the world then but now that whole sequence is OK? That doesn't make sense...

I mean as far as their actions in the NBA. The move by KD is just a weak move. Lebron atleast went back to Cleveland and helped them win a ring. And when Lebron left, he didn't chase a team already on the cusp on winning a championship.

                              There's a huge difference there.
