Oh they won't, and they shouldn't. I just don't think Minny should overpay either.

I think they'll be in kind of a limbo situation with Butler. I don't think they will find quite what they want for him, and I don't think any team is going to overpay and get him at the top 5ish level player asking price either. If I'm Chicago though I would want to keep him anyways, or go for lots of future assets if they want to start over.

They probably could have gotten just about anything they wanted a couple seasons ago. I think he's leveling off though now.

I don't necessarily think he's hit his ceiling. I just don't believe his ceiling is much higher than what we've saw. I don't think he's a focal point of your offense guy like he once looked like he was on the path to becoming.

Like I said earlier, Wiggins basically matchup his production this year. Playing in the West at that. At about 6-7 years younger with numbers Jimmy didn't hit until these past two seasons.

Lol you're basically saying he hit his ceiling, man.

Let's be real, #5 pick(as of NOW)doesn't have as much as value that it would normally have with this being a very weak draft outside of Simmons/Ingram.

Let's not underestimate how much Thibs loves the guy. If he could play him 49 minutes a game, he would.

I think the Wolves go hard for Butler but not at the expense of their core. Thibs is going to sell the Bulls on their clock being out and needing picks, role guys to rebuild with.

I only have a hard time seeing the Bulls pick up any of Thibs calls.

I'd trade every pick from #3 on down for Butler, straight up. Pretty easily. Not sure why Chicago would be shopping him. He's an all-star with 3 years remaining on a pre-cap boom contract.

Celtics could easily trump whatever package the Wolves put together if Butler is actually available. Something the Bulls have denied since the trade deadline.

Minnesota would clearly have to offer more than just #5 for Jimmy, but there's no chance they offer Wiggins + #5. I'd guess their top offer would be something like #5, LaVine, Shabazz, and Dieng or something along those lines.

I don't love LaVine either, but you're talking about a ridiculous athlete that was pouring in around 17 points per game on outstanding efficiency after the all-star break. It isn't hard to see why a GM might value him highly.

I don't really see this as a trade that will actually happen though.

Bulls reportedly "actively open" to move Derrick Rose, would rather keep Jimmy Butler http://ble.ac/1XnJARo

It's just so tough to imagine Rose playing somewhere else, being a Chicago kid born and raised and all. I think it's the right move for both sides at this point, though.

I bet it's not so tough for a lot of Bulls fans.
