It's trying sometimes. This team has a remarkable ability to fold up like a cheap suitcase at the end of halves or in a situation where they have all the momentum and just waste it away.


Anywho, I liked what I saw this morning when I was looking at my FB feed. The Raptors official twitter tweeted a 10 second clip of Lowry practicing shooting at the ACC at 1 AM in the morning. The man is trying his damndest to get out of a slump at the worst possible time of the year.

More on Chris Bosh pressuring the Heat to let him play:

Just heard first take take on this. I know we don't like to quote it but they basically said there could be a little more to that story than the heat being protective with Bosh. I didn't completely understand but from what I gathered if Bosh doesn't play until next season, his health insurance kicks in and that allows some of his salary to not count against the cap and that could allow the heat to go after somebody (Durant) this summer.

Something like that.

Also from what I understand if the Heat doesn't let Bosh play now he might aswell never play again because the risk will be the same next year and for the rest of his life. If Bosh wants to play and his doctors say it's ok for him to play with very low risk then I don't get why he isn't allowed to play.

Honestly I'd like to see him be injected slowly during this series and be ready for Cleveland next.

I'd rather he didn't play again I don't want to see another athlete die playing again and I worry that's gonna happen to Bosh.

Well there is always risks, but if they are measured and low and Bosh, his family is aware of all that and if the doctors clear him to play then why not.

Not that they needed to do that anyway.

Unless there's full 100% clearance from everyone(there rarely is)I wouldn't put him out there either. Blood clots aren't something to mess with.

Has to be pretty frustrating for Bosh. Let's just hope it's 100% a geniune decision to protect Bosh's health and not something else.

Of course there's a huge financial aspect but a part of that will probably be whether or not Bosh is insured to cover his death whilst playing basketball or not. If he isn't - which is doubtful but also possible - then the Heat would have to pay out ridiculous sums of money. Likely the remainder of his contract which adds up to around $100m and probably a lawsuit from his family too.

I know this is a really morbid way to look at it but he's lucky that it's a diagnosis he has and not a hidden heart condition that kills him before he knows he has it. He needs to be smart and think about things because like we've said in here, blood clots are no joke. I've known someone in my personal life to die playing soccer with clots and he left behind a family, I'd hate for that to happen to somebody like Bosh because he comes across as a cool guy.
