Yeah but I also think Maim just didn't play well that year. So part of it was Maim part of it was spurs. Even had they played well though Spurs would have still one because they clearly where the better team that year.

Cleveland still has 19 more threes than the next team this postseason. In 2 less games.

I hope everyone keeps sleeping on them. They can **** with GS.

To win the NBA Finals, tons of people. One dude in particular on this forum comes to mind saying he'd give them zero chance against GS. People put GS on this pedestal cause of their regular season (which sure, rightfully so, it was historic) but they are very beatable.

I'm biased obviously and I really want the rematch and just want to fast-forward to the Finals already. Getting impatient with all their damn time off, lol.

Crazy to think that the Cavs are almost already in the finals, meanwhile either OKC or the Spurs will still have to fight against a team that just achieved an historical season to get there.

If they're very beatable, I haven't seen it yet. Only 11 losses this season, playoffs included? With Curry at the helm I don't know how you beat them. Cleveland can score with em, cant defend like em though

There's a difference between being beatable and being beatable 4 times before they beat you 4 times in a two week span.

12 things you incontestably missed when Steph Curry shimmied the Blazers out the building

All you gotta do is re-visit last year's Finals. Yes Golden State is better this year than they were last year but so is Cleveland, who took them to 6 games without Irving and Love. Now they have Love, Irving, Frye and more importantly, don't have to play Mozgov. Their bench is far deeper this year too. Delly, Shump, Jefferson, and Frye. Last year they were playing ****ing Mike Miller and James Jones.

It's all about matchups and Cleveland matches up very well. I'm excited. No disrespect to the Spurs and their fans, but I want this rematch very badly and you know Cleveland does too. I don't see LeBron losing the Finals 3 times in a row. Dude has a massive chip on his shoulder and you can tell he's conserving his energy to bring it all out in the Finals.

You should probably throw last year's finals out of the window since Curry is a demigod now.

and yes, stop disrespecting the Spurs (and OKC)

I get that, but I also think Cleveland was stronger defensive team last year's playoffs and the improvement for GSW and Curry was far more significant than the improvement Cleveland made.

If you're judging Cleveland off the regular season, then sure. Kyrie missed signifcant time, Mozgov was still starting games and playing till the very end of the season, Frye wasn't there until the end, etc. Playoff Cleveland has been a completely different beast though. They just made 77 3s in 4 games. And if Cleveland keeps this hot shooting up, they can beat anyone. Averaging about 17 3s/game on 46% shooting is nothing to dismiss, regardless of the opponent(s).

Yeah, but I think if you are looking to get into a shootout with Golden State, you're just asking to lose. They have just as many if not more snipers on that team. And even if they dont have more they have Steph Curry who makes up for it.

Re: 2016 Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

The Cavs certainly have a chance to win the Finals just based on the fact that they'll be IN the Finals and there's one of two ways that can go, either they'll win it or lose it. The Warriors (provided they get there) are and should be the favorites though.

All the Cav/LeBron fans I talk to all love to hang their hats on this 'didn't have Kyrie and Love thing' as if everything else just stands in place or something. Nobody ever addresses that the Warriors are a year better as well. Getting back Love and Kyrie is a huge defensive issue created where you can't just run Delly and Shump out there for 30+ minutes a game solely to chase Steph around and try to wear him out. If you're starting Kyrie and Shump, Shump has to help off Curry more or Klay whichever you start him off guarding because they'll both get off on Irving. Speights is a better player for them than he was last year. Clark gives solid minutes off the bench. I can't imagine Klay playing as atrocious as he did last year again.

There's so much more to this potential series than "we'll have Kyrie and Love this time and we took them to 6 games without them."
