Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
This article speaks on some of the things you mentioned in regards to their pace:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are back in the NBA Finals. This time, they're fully healthy and propelled by their suddenly dynamic offense.
I do agree with you overall about Cleveland dictating the pace and keeping GS' possessions as low as possible.
hahaha... I'm sorry .. But that has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Just some quick thoughts:
-Will Kerr start with Dray at C from the jump? I think that lineup works well against their starters and I wouldn't want to see Bron get any quick starts with Iguodala on the bench.
-In the beginning of the second and fourth quarters, Kerr likes to play the trash lineup with no starters and Cleveland could have a big advantage there if he doesn't change the regular rotation. Especially if Frye keeps shooting 751% from three.
-How will the Cavs guard the Curry pnr? Or just the Warriors in general? It's gonna be hard to take away the threes without giving up easy ones in the lane seeing as they have no real rim protector.
-This is gonna be a small series. I think we'll see a whole lot of Bron at the four.
-Livingston should be a reliable scoring option unlike the last series. He had a lot of trouble backing down Waiters and Foye in his few opportunities but shouldn't have that much of a problem with Kyrie or Delly.
-Love looked absolutely clueless and lazy guarding the pnr in the two games from the regular season. We already know the Warriors are planning to attack him, I'm just wondering how the Cavs will attempt to counter.
-Kyrie has typically played very well against the Warriors and I don't see why that would change now.
-Klay was a non factor in terms of individual offensive production in the Finals last year. Overall, Klay has had a much better playoffs this year and I expect to see that trend continue.

Well they had to give something up and probably banked on their length eventually wearing on GS but it backfiredComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
He won't be able to protect the rim the way Adams and Ibaka did or rebound like Adams either. The way they have their guards screen and cut we're in store for a lot of JR and Shumpert 1 on 1's at the rim with Klay and Steph.
You're probably right about the Cavs slowing the pace down but I'm not sure how effective they can be if they do that. They are built to launch 3's and rely on them just as much as the Warriors.
At this point, is there really anything you can do but hope they miss? To be fair to KD they did miss for awhile and long enough for them to have easily won in 6. What can you possibly do to stop some of those shots from going in? Guards have to do a better job of fighting through screens set by Barnes, Iggy, and Steph/Klay. If the Warriors shoot like they did in games 1 and 3-5.5 the Cavs will take advantage of it and score more than the Thunder. They will not give games away like KD and Russ did.Arsenal Gunners|Kentucky Wildcats|Cincinnati BengalsComment

The Warriors better not fall asleep on Frye. Too often I see teams just lose him in the shuffle.

Basically a spark plug off the bench. You literally need to stay with him.Last edited by jeebs9; 05-31-2016, 04:47 PM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Just read that the league is reviewing the play where Draymond basically DDT'd himself and Adams.
I definitely thought that was a tech/flagrant whatever during real time. But I would rather not see it called as one now as it basically does no good, and no reason for him to be suspended for a completely separate series. Would rather see both squads at 100%.
Probably wouldn't matter all that much for game 1 at GS, but the issue would be that he would be suspended for each one after that as well.. And I'm sure he could be baited into another.

Man, he doesn't need to be suspended.
And when did JR Smith all of a sudden become such a pariah too? We got both of these teams at "full strength" so I'm not trying to have any shenanigans from the previous series to carry over into this one.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 06-01-2016, 01:12 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Well that play obviously wouldn't deserve a suspension, but if ruled a flagrant that would be the outcome. By league rules it should indeed be a flagrant, I'm just hoping they keep the ruling at a common double foul.Comment
