Duncan was part of one of my favorite photos ever in the NBA which will never not be funny to me-

Incredible that they did this and there was no backlash whatsoever.

The one time everyone considering the Spurs boring and paying them no damn attention worked out perfectly for them lol.

        TD on retiring:

"I can still do this. I could probably still play," Duncan said in a wide-ranging interview with ViVid Streaming. "But when it's time, it's time. It's time. I started not enjoying myself. It wasn't fun at times. And I always said when that point comes when it's not fun anymore then I'm done."

        -

"I don't know how their ranking goes or anything else, and I tell people I don't really care how the rankings go. I'm in the conversation," Duncan said. "I'm OK with that. That's above and beyond anything I ever thought I would be. So I'm in the conversation. I don't care where you rank me or what you say it is or how you want to say things go. I'm in the conversation. That in itself is an honor."

        -

Duncan also explained his competitive nature, which he always displayed in a stoic manner, without any hit of boisterousness.

"I think I've always approached it in a different way. I think competitiveness is taken in a different way by different people," Duncan said. "So I'm not a yeller and a screamer, a jumper and a pusher. I'm not gonna do all that stuff with my teammates or opponents. But I've been competitive from Day 1. Whether people recognize that or not, I don't know how they can't. I'm not gonna go out there and try to hurt somebody or win at all means. But if it's up in the air, I'm gonna try harder than you to get it done."

San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan says he decided to retire after 19 seasons because playing basketball was "not fun anymore."

I use to watching clip like 20 times a day in school (I had the VHS copy in my bookbag).

The reverse pivot, jab, one dribble left, spin move back to the right. Basically became my go to move to start any game down low.

Duncan in his prime was poetry in motion, like Ali in the ring.

Definitely the greatest PF in league history, one of the NBA immortals. He's on my top 10 list.

So I just saw this as I was scrolling through Twitter earlier today. Don't know exactly how I feel about it.
