Wow, nice list. I'm sure someone will be here to disagree or add someone.

Lebron is not better the Ben Wallace or Kidd. He hasn't done anything yet.

Yeah, LeBron is WAY too high, and so is Carmelo. Carmelo is 11 slots better than Marion? Give me a break.

"Picking a list of the league's top players is never easy, especially if you're factoring in the opinions of a board of seven general managers, scouts, broadcasters and former players, along with Sporting News editors. We picked players based on expected production in the upcoming season, not on the merits of their potential beyond 2004-05.

We also tried to avoid simply taking players with the best stats, rather focusing on players who do the things that help their teams win. We did not ignore underrated aspects of the game such as shooting for a high percentage, getting to the free throw line and playing defense.

Any such list will be debated, of course, and we invite you to do just that."

I would'nt have a numeric system for these players. I would just have said that there is no order to it.

Brad Miller is also very low. I think they did the top 8, and then randomly put guys on the list as they went on. Whoever popped in their head at the time.
