Re: Top 50...Sporting News
um, tmac didnt demand a trade, he was given no choice, either he was to resign right away or be traded, and he didnt feel he was ready to commit at that timeOriginally posted by Vinceanity2k3Exactly why a guy like Dampier should not be ahead of VC
It's cause of the trade demand.Who hasn't made a trade demand the past season?Peja,T-Mac,B-Diddy...Yet VC gets hated on the most. And his only beef is with the dumb management that didn't involve their star player in the hiring of our new coach and GM.He never bad mouthed his teamtes or the fans or the team,he's just upset at the way things are handled upstairs in the press boxes.Comment

Re: Top 50...Sporting News
last time i checked 20, 5 and 5 were pretty good stats, especially for a guy that turned 19 halfway through the seasonOriginally posted by DueceDigglaLebron is not better the Ben Wallace or Kidd. He hasn't done anything yet.Comment

By not signing he made it pretty clear he didnt want to be there or have plans to come back. Add that to the whole shaq fiasco and theres nobody who prolly would have risked not trading him.Comment

Re: Top 50...Sporting News
Id LMAO if he left after this year and we stole francis, cato and mobley (if he resigns) It would be even better if Tmac spend the year in houston then resigned back here in orlando, but we dont have the cap room for that to happen.Comment

Re: Top 50...Sporting News
I think Mac did the right thing. He was in a situation where he wanted to win a title, so he asked management for some veteran help. They don't oblige. He asks management to keep him in the loop on G. Hills injury, they don't. He says year after year, get me help, and year after year Orlando gets worse. So Tmac finally can't take it anymore and is like, "Look guys, my contract is almost up, and I'm not going to re-sign. If you don't want to lose me w/o getting something in return, I'd like to sign with houston (yes jordan, b/c they are good, he wants a shot at the title not the lottery)." Weisbrod agreed and got some damn good players in return for Mac. I'd say he semi-demanded a trade. Basically, he'd been patient w/ Orlando, and he let them know ahead of time that he wasn't resigning, and Orlando got great players b/c of it. I don;t see where Mac was wrong.Comment

It seems like it worked out for both of us then. Rocket fans are exstatic, and myself as a Magic fan havent been this excited going into a season in a while.Comment
