It's good to be on a forum where people actually watch the games and don't just go by what's on SC highlights. Good to actually have discussions on them with folks who have knowledge of basketball, unlike other forums I've been a part of.

Reality hit Green on that one lob attempt to Zaza...that's an easy one handed dunk by Bogut last year...lol

Pau was just OK in his debut. We definitely need to feed him in the post a but more....but he's gotta be better defensively...

I liked how the Cavs were using K Love last night, and how aggressive he was...if they can stick to that they will be tough to guard.

That one action when LeBron threw it across to him and they brought a close out expecting him to settle, he put the ball down, drive to the hoop and got the bucket and a foul. I wanna see much more of that from him because he's a threat on the drive because of his size and strength, he just needs to not settle so much for the 3 ball because he averaged something like 6 attempts per game last season.

LMA didn't seem to be in the flow a lot apart from some picks - seemed like the ball was moving away from him at times.

I like your second unit. Hopefully Simmons can keep it cooking the whole season and Ginobli can keep pace with them.

As for GS - Curry and KD are obviously going to get theirs, but Klay might be the odd man out most nights. I wouldn't be surprised if he started playing with the second unit more just to get his flow going.

Kevin Love and Klay Thompson were first team All-NBA brick open shots.

I thought Patty Mills played extremely well, didn't catch any of the Portland/Utah game.

GSW will be more than fine going forward, especially offensively....

but I do wonder about their rebounding....did our big line up just cause them trouble last night or will that be a struggle going forward?

They were top 5 in rebounding last year and got a ton of open 3's and second chances from it...big part of their offense..

I'd suggest watching a replay of the Jazz/Blazers game if you could. Really competitive, back-and-forth game filled with good offense from both sides. Lillard went crazy.

Those back taps on missed shots were Bogut's specialty last year since and that's one issue I seen Zaza struggle with last year.

It'll be something to watch going forward over the next few months.

I saw LeBron was credited with one block last night, I for sure remember 2.

Also, do players not get credited blocks for shots where a foul is called? I know that if the shot misses it doesn't count as an attempt, but if it goes in it does count as an attempt. For whatever reason I thought the block counted, considering there is still a chance for 2 points.

Nope, no block when there is a foul.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah, not sure I agree with that "rule". If a shot can count after the whistle, a goal tend can be called after the whistle, then why shouldn't a block?

I guess I get it though, what if the player who committed the foul was the one who also blocked the shot, rather than a secondary player from behind, you would then be rewarding a player who just committed a foul with a block he likely wouldn't have gotten if there wasn't a foul. Also the player would be given a block on a play where there was no shot attempt.

All this is doing is making my head hurt.

You answered your own question, but yeah, no player on the defensive side should be rewarded statistically for anything that happens after an offensive player is fouled. I don't know why anyone would disagree with that.
