I know triple doubles aren't easy but Westbrook is making it look too damn easy.

Damn man. Rudy Gay carried off the court by four people after going down driving the baseline. Hearing it's a torn achilles. He'll have an MRI tomorrow to confirm, but that's what the fear is.

He's on the hook for 14.7 mil next season. Even though he was gonna opt out...

            Hope he recovers fully

He's 30 already too. Whatever big payday he was looking for this offseason is screwed.

Wes Matthews did the same thing and still got a nice payday when he returned.

                  True, but Matthews

                  A) Signed with Dallas who were pretty much desperate for people at that point so they could hand that out.

                  B) He was 28 when he tore his and signed that deal that offseason. Rudy is already 30 and will be 31 in August and likely will still be recovering from this by the time training camps are getting started. I'm sure he'll get a solid deal, but he was opting out of this deal looking for some huge dollars. I don't know if he gets the dollars he had in mind at this point.

The NBA you've seen the past few years should make you realize never say never

Not saying never though. We've seen enough **** contracts go out in our lifetime to know that never isn't the right thought to go with. I'm just saying I don't see him getting the mega bucks deal he was looking for with THAT injury considering his game, his age and the timing of this injury.

145 million probably not but he has another season to go before he addresses that and can bounce back nicely

Nope he is done.... I love Rudy Gay since his UCONN days. I think everyone did. But the achilles injury is a death sentence. I don't even have to name the players that have tried to come back from that.

Nah man look at Luol Deng. Tore his achilies in the summer while sweeping the kitchen, didn't tell anyone and is still going strong at age 64.

I ruptured my achilles when I was 19 and I'veseen guys recover from achilles injuries but it destroys them mentally. Like there are types of injuries that you know are freak incidents and probably won't happen again, like PG13's injury a couple years ago. But with the achilles it can just happen whenever and once it has happened, you're in constant fear.

                                It's so damn painful too.
