The Wizards and Hawks grinded through eight ties, 14 lead changes and 55 fouls – a foul every 52 seconds. For perspective, refs called a foul every 2:26 during the regular season.

And will the Hawks stop drawing so many fouls? After taking 39 free throws in Game 1 (to Washington’s 17), they attempted 38 (to Washington’s 33) in Game 2.

No team has taken so many free throws (77) in the first two games of a series and lost both since the 2008 Mavericks, who eventually lost to the New Orleans Hornets in five games in the first round.

Milsap got his calls last night. That third quarter was ****ing hard to watch. There was a stretch there where every ATL possession ended up with FTs.

As easy as it would be to blame the refs the Wizards got to the line themselves quite a bit (though considering how aggressive they were for the basket I don't think they were getting the rate of calls ATL did). They have to go to the basket looking for points and not drawing fouls - it almost got them into trouble tonight.

Keef in early foul trouble - I wish that was a rarity. Hopefully he can keep those down in the rest of the series. Jason Smith is making his value known, but we need Keef on the floor.

A couple thoughts from last night:

Porter - We need his shots to start hitting. He can't be bricking wide open gimmes.
Oubre - He looked lost out there with the starters last night. He played amazing defense as usual, but man he's gotta be more active offensively. The ball died every time he got it and looked to dump it off.
Bogdanovic - I'm gonna need this fool to start hitting his jumpers or tighten down on his defense because he about as worthless as a saloon door on defense. He's playing like he doesn't want to stay long-term.
Jennings - Who thought Brandon Jennings would be the one to ****ing pull us out of the depths? He's still a liability on defense, but he also had some great defensive plays and pressure.

Why did dwight only play 19 minutes ? Do they play Milsap at center a lot ?

Why did dwight only play 19 minutes ? Do they play Milsap at center a lot ?

Wizards have more talent then us but our coach is suspect. He played Muscala who is 10th man on any nba team for the stretch run of the game. Dwight checked out of the game in the 3rd quarter and we were up 7. He never got back in and we lost by 8. Howard was a plus 5 on the night.

I am disgusted by his sub pattern.
