Then Saturday afternoon we get that present from the gift giving aunt/uncle and it's not Mario 64 but Paul George.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
But they have different roles... don't see why they couldn't coexist.
I mean.. yes that's exactly what I wanted lol. I don't care if another team gets screwed. I'm a Pacers fan... you expect me to be happy because now we're the ones getting screwed?
If other teams trade for him and give up too much value that's on them. If he leaves anyway, that's on them. They took that risk... Why would I care lol.
That said, I don't agree it was going to suck for one side or the other. It was only going to suck for the Pacers... I don't think any team was going to gut their roster and give us a ton of value back to get him regardless because he's a rental and with all the LA rumors there were even before his announcement teams would be skittish, but now I REALLY don't think teams are going to give us much of anything.
As for your comment on it not mattering what he told the GM, I agree with your point there. But it does matter for everyone acting like it's impossible Bird or Pritchard didn't know. And again it's not just what he said to them specifically, its also his comments the Thursday before last where he was talking up this season and really said a lot more than he could've/should've if he was planning on announcing he was leaving(which he did like 2-3 days later.. odd timing to me, but it is what it is. No one has ever called PG a good pr guy lol).

As for when he made the decision, none of us know that. He could've changed his mind every day until he announced it. Again, it sucks that it hurts the Pacers, but this is just humans doing what humans do.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
All those tweets literally tell us nothing except Boston reaaally wants to get Hayward and George.
Hayward hasn't met with any teams yet. The Woj article basically said Boston is devising a plan to acquire George IF they land Hayward.
I still think Hayward stays.

Hayward can't meet with any teams yet anyway just so you know. I believe that's what the July 1st date is(players/teams can start meeting and commit to a verbal only agreement until I think July 9th or so then they can actually make their contracts official). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not saying anything one way or the other btw lol.

Like I was saying, he hasn't met with anyone yet, and he couldn't even if he wanted to. He hasn't even opted out yet, technically.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Andre Iguodala has become the foremost target in an attempt weaken the Golden State Warriors' chokehold on the NBA, league sources have told ESPN.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz are among the teams interested in the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, sources tell ESPN.
I still don't understand why rebuilding teams, like Orlando and Brooklyn, would be interested in signing a 33 year old to a potentially long-term deal.Comment
