I agree he was the best player of the 3 but he was the most likely to not be on the roster after next year. He is easily going to get anywhere from $20-25m per next year over 3/4 years. We can't have that salary on the books alongside IT, Hayward, Horford making 85-90M combined next year. Depending on what IT's contract looks like.

He definitely doesn't fit what they need right now. They'd be wise to steer clear of this one.

I'm pushing for a couple things just so I can see this happen.

I haven't paid Jeff Green much attention in the last several years, this seems like a decent move from them, but I don't know how he's looked. Was he trash in Orlando last year?

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Finally we got a shooter and that's a very reasonable contract. I can't complain. I like how we're maintaining financial flexibility for the future(this contract and Collison's are both partially guaranteed in 2nd year) especially with Dipo's contract on the books for 3 years.
Anyway.. Kevin Pritchard went on Indy radio today for an interview and talked at length about the PG situation(and a lot of other things you guys don't care about). It was a very interesting listen.. Call him a liar if you want but he said 90% of the trade rumors that were out there for PG were false and that Boston never actually made Indy an offer. He said they talked but Boston "declined to make an offer." Take it for what's it worth. I'm not naive enough to think it couldn't just be him trying to save face, but there are other ways to answer those questions while still doing that. And considering how stingy Ainge is it's possible.
It really just got me thinking how the media works and how easily these guys can be manipulated. Who's to say it wasn't Pritchard himself fabricating stories to the media to try and get LA to up their offer? Or even some WC team that was trying to get LA to give up their assets instead of signing him outright in the summer? Or anything related like that... just interesting to wonder lol.

Y'all know I ain't got nothing to say about the "nameless bum" comments. I will say, LeBron has never won a ring without James Jones on his team. So whoever decided it was a smart idea to take that credit away from the GOAT, AKA the other James, and give it to the bum they must be a moron.
