He might be insane in a few years. The East is gonna be nice once LeBron's done.

He has absolutely every right to leave Indiana and I have no issue with him telling the Pacers straight up that he wasn't re-signing with them. I have no issue with that. But miss me with this post when this dude says he wanted them to get something back for him if they decided they wanted to trade him instead of playing out the year and then not saying a word to dead the noise that he was going to LA regardless which sunk any real deal they could have put together for him and now after he's been traded and all the deals were crap, he comes out and is saying pump the brakes on him going to LA. That's just a dick move no matter how you wanna slice it.

The number of players you are winning a title with as your number one player as of July 11th, 2017 runs like less than a dozen deep. So saying the Celtics will not an NBA title with Isaiah Thomas as the number one option comes as no surprise. To say he needs to be dismissed to a sixth man option on a championship team is where you lose me. I feel pretty confident a team on July 11th, 2017 with Isaiah Thomas as their third or possibly second best player (depends on who your one is) could compete for an NBA title.

That's fine if you want to walk it back to a more sensible statement. You started off by saying Ainge should have traded for Cousins and drafted a replacement PG for IT. You claim that while IT can perform to be Boston's #1 and in fact be one of the best players of the season/off-season in the entire NBA he should be regulated to a 6th man role.

Man. I'm still not buying it. Put the right personnel around him, which the Celtics are seemingly close to doing, and they'll have a chance to knock off the Cavs and go to the Finals.

I still really hate the departure of AB man...I just thought he was the guy that could be the X factor if the Celtics take that next step. I thought Crowder was a bit more replaceable...

I agree that Thomas can be a 2nd or 3rd option for a championship team. I just think he should come off the bench, or y'all gonna have to mix up the lineups to make up for the fact that he's 5'9 (I swear he's actually like 5'7).

And yeah I'm a Cavs fan. Well really I just root for LeBron cause he's my favorite player, other than his games I just love watching ball.

But I'm not trying to diminish IT at all. I love IT. Super entertaining to watch. Just not gonna lead you to a title. Not a knock on him, there's like 5-6 guys that you can legitimately say could lead you to a ring. I stand by what I said, he's got to be a secondary scorer for you to win. And it's good to have a great scorer coming off the bench to energize you.

I said the real move was to trade for Cousins. That would've helped you guys a ton. Cavs can't guard Boogie. The next move should've been Markelle Fultz. You missed out on Boogie, fine, just grab a guy who's probably going to be a beast.

And you're misunderstanding what I'm saying about IT. I just think that if he wins a title, it won't be as a number 1 option.

Like I said, you need an elite guard defender, elite rebounding and rim protection, and probably at least a very good 2 way wing (I guess Hayward fits that bill, he's pretty good). But y'all gave up AB, and y'all don't have rebounders or rim protecters. I just feel like after y'all max out IT, y'all won't have any money to make moves, and your current roster isn't beating Cleveland.

AB was moved because of future salary implications. There was no way of keeping IT and him after this season. Best to get whatever you can for him now.

You know they will almost certainly have at least 1 top 5 pick next year, and there's a chance they could have 2, right?

While it's possible they missed their best chances to trade for a star and draft a franchise player, that's far from certain. It could go thte complete other way.

As for Thomas, I get your point just think you are taking it way too far. I mean obviously if he was on a team where his best role was coming off the bench he'd have a better shot at a title. That'd have to be a REALLY good team. But you could say that for basically every player in the league outside of the best guy at each psotion.

1st, this dude is serious? He couldn't have said this **** a month ago and not completely screwed the Pacers over?

2nd, I really hope Thunder fans don't buy into that too much cause he's already made it clear that him saying anything about staying somewhere isn't worth the toilet paper you wipe your *** with.

I read that **** earlier. It's whatever.. I'm over it, tired of hearing him speak at this point lol. It's a bunch of bs anyway.. "I love Indy, LA is my hometown, I might stay in OKC though blah blah blah." Same song and dance with this guy.. Meaningless words.

IMO he just didn't believe Pritchard could build a team around him fast enough to please him who obviously wants to compete right now. I can't fault him for that but miss me with this going to the Lakers thing is "overstated" while also saying he "wanted Indy to get assets back for him" all coming after he's already been traded.

Seemingly Boogie would help most teams that aren't the ****ing Pelicans. I'm sure almost half the league has him on their wishlist for things to get by next off-season.

But that would be a move to help them now. Which is what IT does, too. Fultz doesn't and would need time to not only learn the system and players, but be able to integrate it as well as IT. They have a young corral of players that have some legitimate potential. I'm not going to second-guess their draft pick.

Unlike some in here I think its possible to compete and threaten the Cavs right now and not in 2-3 years when LeBron is supposedly sailing off into the sunset. I don't see another PG coming in and helping Boston more than IT can right now.

And you're misunderstanding what I'm saying about IT. I just think that if he wins a title, it won't be as a number 1 option.

Paul George sounds like the type of guy that should absolutely only sign one year deals.

Actually, Paul George sounds like the type of guy a team should only sign to a one year deal.

This is exactly what I was trying to warn Lakers fans about. We know these players change their minds at any moments notice. This is why I said they should have went after him, assuming they didn't, as soon as he said he wanted to be a Laker
