I'd wager a lot of people outside of the US who don't follow sports don't even know who LeBron is, and wouldn't know Jordan by looking at his face. But everybody knows McGregor. He is at this point bigger than the sport he represents which is why he's branching out into acting, like Rousey did, and now boxing. The UFC doesn't attract crowds and gates like it does now if McGregor leaves the sport.

Draymond can just clap back by saying he has more money though, if nothing else.

Agree with everything except the part about LeBron and especially Mike. They are 2 of the most well known athletes globally, likely only surpassed by Messi, Ronaldo & (possibly) Neymar.

McGregor is the most well known MMA fighter in the world, but he definitely isn't recognisable to everyone.

So according to Windhorst Kyrie became upset in part when he found out that he had been included in packages for Jimmy Butler and Paul George. He was also "tired of having another superstar in control of his fate."

The problem is nobody even knew if any of those rumors were more than just speculation, or if LeBron had anything at all to do with them. I don't believe he wanted him gone, especially not for one of those two players and Kay Felder being the only active PG on the roster if Kyrie was moved.

And now rumors are also coming out that Kyrie wanted to play with Jimmy Butler and had told Cleveland that before draft night. Hence all the moves being made to try and land Jimmy and now Kyrie picking Minnesota as a landing spot. Also rumors that David Griffin nearly had a deal for Jimmy finalized but was fired right around that time period. I think that plays a larger role in him wanting out than his name being in trade talks, because the only time his name was brought up in trade talks was by people no more credible than us just matching up salaries and throwing out trades online.

Sounding like Windhort's source is LeBron himself lol.

Hard to believe half of this nonsense anymore.

In regards to Kyrie controlling his own fate, I've heard that from a few people.

Well he could be an UFA in the summer of 2019, which would be just one season after Lebron left, if he does leave after next season.

He'd still be 27 and entering his prime, probably able to get at least a $150 million deal if he left to go to another team.

Hence why he's so desperately wanted the Floyd fight. It raises his profile and Nets him the biggest payday he'll ever see in his career.

I'm missing the "L"... isn't the important part that it IS a CJ Watson jersey which makes the most sense with the jabs he's throwing at Floyd? Is it that hard to believe McGregor didn't know it was NBA player who wears that number for GS right now who was replying?

You're talking about this like Kyrie gets his news the same way the rest of us do though. It doesn't say how he found out about the trades, just what happened when he did. For all we know, his guy's in the league gave him a call and told him what they'd heard. Or maybe a front office guy with the Cavs that he's friends with tells him what they're doing. Maybe Griffin calls him and tells him they wanted him to move Kyrie in a deal for George, he didn't want to do that, got fired and then called Kyrie later to let him know what might happen. So it doesn't really make sense to me to call out nobody knowing if stuff was just speculation as if Kyrie ain't right there to be told first hand about something is a little ridiculous.

Leech news is what we called it in school....

Big story breaks, now we have to keep it fresh in the news cycle...

Kind of like how someone gets accused of something, then we hear about a bunch of possible new charges and new victims coming forward...only to never hear about either again...

Well see how this saga ends.

I work in a grocery store (as security).

You have no idea how accurate those magazine headlines are.

The only thing missing are the cringeworthy puns.

Looking like Derrick Rose will be a Cav by the end of the day. Meeting with the Cavs today about a one year, 2.1 million minimum deal.
