All the LeBron out West speculation is cute anyways. Drake is gonna recruit a mega team at the NBA Awards. Canada will have the NBA on lock for the next half dozen years. Warriors, Lakers, Cavs, Clippers, Spurs...it doesn't really matter. Raptors about to run things.

They would be the first team with silk jerseys...and everyones number would be required to have a 6 in it...

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I doubt Lebron leaves, especially to LA. Wouldn't be surprised if all this is more about pushing Cavs management to really do something else drastic in Cleveland for Lebron.
Though if Lebron left, just troll everyone. Go to a diff team each year, taking each one to it's first ever finals. Be greatest player in many franchises history.
Speaking of which... Who holds that distinction in real life? Considered greatest player in multiple franchises history? Meaning he was best on diff teams. Meaning Jordan for example doesn't count in Washington.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
LBJ could be playing a game.
Or maybe he wants to be out in LA for non basketball reasons, since he's ambitious about being a big mogul. He wants to own a team like MJ and probably wants that after-basketball income like MJ, who makes more in a year now than he probably made during his NBA career.
Supposedly his relationship with Gilbert still isn't great.
Cavs have spent the money so he can't complain about that. However, to make any moves, the team might have to give up draft picks for like 5 years out.
That would be really mortgaging the future.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Lebron already owns Cleveland. Doesn't need to go to LA to boost himself. He's one of those rare players whose popularity has no market limits. Cleveland or LA, he's "the guy". Only thing about LA, if he went there and won, it's not special at all. Everyone will be like "So what? Magic did it too. Kobe did it too. Lebron isn't one of best Lakers ever. “Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
West has a great front office track record with every team he's worked with.
But he must be a part-timer at his age.
Clippers don't have draft picks for a couple of years I think.
Maybe he'll eventually have a say in whether the team relieves Rivers of his GM duties. Or of all duties.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Well with Jerry West with the Clippers, suddenly that LeBron to the Clippers seems a lot more plausible. Sorry I doubted you Woj
