People for some reason act like those Celt teams won 4 titles. I don't even get why people still talk about them.

Hilarious that big baby mentions Ray Allens restaurant then makes a remark about going 9 percent body fat roflol
Also Perk and Big baby weren't even on the team when Ray left and Perk talking about reaching out. SmhComment

Yeah exactly. Why do we need a reunion of those guys? Just seems like they are treated like a bigger story than they actually were.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

How is that petty?
Ok, so let's say in my professional life I have a close working relationship with a coworker. We work hand and hand on projects together and see great success. That leads to a friendship away from the workplace, which sees our families spending time together and the whole speal. Then one day I learn he or she has left the company to join one of our greatest competitors. No phone call after he or she make the decision the move was what's best for him or her professionally and for his or her family. Yeah, I'm gonna hold a grudge. Not only because I'd feel slighted, but because that type of move would show me the friendship was never really what it was believed to be.
So if those guys feel Ray reaching out first is what needs to be done, than that's what it is. It's not for us to judge.
You guys ever worked somewhere, where everyone is best friends or related and hang out all the time after work and you just don't give a ****, you wanna go home and get to your own family? That's what this sounds like to me lol.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 05-09-2017, 12:55 PM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

What does them being millionaires have to do with anything, and how does them addressing the elephant in the room make them petty? It was certainly important enough for them to address, because if they choose not to the story today would be all about them ignoring Allen's absence.Comment

My vets only invite teammates they like, even though they say we were brothers.
Something like that.
My vets say they arent the problem you are.
You leave in free agency even after multiple trade rumors, my vets lose your number.

They were a championship team that might have repeated had KG not gotten hurt the following season after they won and missed the entire playoffs. Really with this bigger story than they were thing? I don't even like the Celtics and I can admit this

I hope KG does more segments like this because while "it needed to be addressed" it was just a waste of time and prevented us from even more dizzying entertainment from Area 21.
Instead we're legit talking about grown men's (who are all retired - or should be) feelings in a playoff thread.

He meant they lost because PERK got injured.
It was because they lost Perk.
He didn't mean to say it wrong.Comment

Funny thing is I saw this RIGHT after I made my post lol. I bet Rondo punched a puppy or something after seeing that FB pic.
Apparently he's not though idk.
Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and others from the 08 Celtics got together without Ray Allen on TNT.
Anyway why you coming at me? Ray doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to do. He can enjoy his two rings as he's been doing. I was saying if they were all going to bury the thing and wanted to move on past it, he needed to be the one to make the phone call as they've put it out there now that they're open to burying this and I understand where they're coming from with that. If Ray saw that and still doesn't want to talk to them then oh well I wouldn't lose any sleep about it.
I don't need to grow anything. That's life, people come and go all the time. If all of them moved on with their life without Ray and him without them then who are you to suggest that they or anybody else needs to 'grow up' because they cut somebody out of their life that clearly didn't have a place there any more? How you gonna sit here on the Internet and tell me I need to grow up over some mess that don't involve any of us.

MOST importantly though, I'm talking about these ex-Celtics needing to grow up. That comment had zero to do with anybody in here. They are the grown men, some gone from the team for years now, most gone from the entire league, still acting like Ray Allen stole their girl. That "he's gotta reach out to us to squash this" is a bunch of high school bs.
BTW, your article doesn't say anything... it basically continues the soap opera from an opinion piece, and shows that Allen made the post on FB. The FB post was more the ultimate troll than a display of being in his feelings. Ray's too busy juggling jewelry to shed a tear over a fake reunion he didn't get invited to.

Look, maybe KG or Pierce could be a little peeved they didn't get a call when he left, but that genuine feeling should last about a week. After that, they can use it to motivate them if they see him on the court, but they're acting like they want to see him on the streets because of it. That's childish, and the definition of petty.Comment
