Anyone else laugh at Silver (unintentionally?) trolling the Nets fans in attendance. I don't believe I saw a trade announcement from him all night, then as soon as the Nets pick comes up, he's like "The Chicago Bulls have traded Jimmy Butler to...". LOL, announcing a big trade like that right before the Nets deal, raising the hopes of fans in attendance for that split second.

I'm guessing he was one of those kids in school who failed a test because he forgot to put his name on it lol

I feel like that has more to do with when the trade is formally completed and made official by the league as opposed to trolling Brooklyn fans.

I know but still, such perfect timing.

Speaking of deals, what was up with ESPN on the Raptors pick. I was happy when they drafted OG, but then immediately saw the screen be like "Proposed Trade: Rights to DEN"......Was there a deal in place or something?

                Re: 2017 NBA Draft

I LOVE what the T-Wolves did last night. They're definitely going to at the very least challenge for a playoff spot this coming season. I feel horrible for Jimmy Butler and Bulls fans. Butler really loved being in Chicago so it's tough for him to hear about this at 2 in the morning in France where he was vacationing.

So Lonzo Ball and his crazy father are going to the Lakers as expected. I feel like this kid is going to be a bust. His father is going to be a huge distraction IMO. That being said, he really does fit what the Lakers need. We'll see how it all shakes up. I will say I was impressed by his mini interview learning about his mother so while i'm still going to be hard on the kid I kind of hope he does well.

Nobody is going to care or think about his Pops while watching the Lakers. Unless you watch ESPN, where they'll probably have a 30 minute segment dedicated to that man.

If Ball does become a bust, it won't be due to his father.

Exclusively? Nope, but it certainly doesn't help. We've seen these kind of dynamics before in pro sports where it all comes crashing down. The classic example being Todd Marinovich.

Like I said, I wish Lonzo well after learning a bit more about him and if there's anyone who can cut a lot of the BS distractions it's Magic Johnson.

Yeah but he's not the only loud parent(let's be real, that's really the only issue people have with because he's not doing anything that other parent wouldn't do with their kids)to have a son in the NBA. I wouldn't even dare compare him to Todd Marinovich because he was out there working his son like he was a damn robot. Lavar has done nothing but been loud, lol.

These are billion dollar corporations so do you really think they'll let a player's parent affect how they run/coach their teams? Lebron's Mom was "loud" too and we haven't heard anything about her in almost 10 years.

Oh we heard about Lebron's mom, and it was definitely reason for her to stay out of the spotlight.

I can definitely see your point. Either way, it'll be interesting to see how Lonzo does in LA. Honestly, the NBA benefits when the Lakers are doing well so I hope it works out. It sure would be nice to see the Lakers and Celtics being relevant at the same time again.

I've seen waaaay worse sports parents than Lavar. He's just loud and charismatic. He knew the minute he went viral he banked on it and is the riding the train. He knows he's the heel and is laughing his way to the bank.

I've seen parents threaten and fight coaches, refs, other kids parents, abusing the child verbally and working them to death. To me that's way worse than being loud and believing in your kids.

That's enough of me defending them, Lonzo's a Laker now so he can eat ****.
