Tha_Kid, how can you not buy into the fact that the Cavs would have made the playoffs if they would have had their team together? They missed the playoffs by 1 game. 1 game. With Ricky Davis on the team, they were horrible. Got off to a 6-19 start. I know that without a doubt, if the Cavs would have made the trade last offseason, they could have at least got off to a 10-15 start, which would have been good enough for the playoffs considering the second half of the season. Ricky Davis was a fungus with this team. He was too selfish, and way too intimidating for a young Lebron James. The Cavs were the hottest team after the AS break, with the improved team. They would have made the playoffs at least as a 7 seed. Remember, before McInnis went down, they were holding the 5-6 spot.

Don't forget that the other teams would also be playing with their current rosters, who is to say boston's record wouldnt have been better as well? They went thru comparable turmoil thru the season. You cant just look at the isolated situation...

I know that the whole situation would have changed. But the Cavs were the hottest team in the league in the second half of the season, after the team was complete. If you take the second half and apply it to the first half, they would have been around 46-36 or so. I know it is a complete different situation, but they would have been a much improved team. They would have been strong enough to make it in the East. How far they would go is a whole different story, but I feel they would have made it easily.

No, I was being serious. It happened in tonights game :y4: It was about 2 inches below his elbow. After he dunked it he was shaking his arm. I guess he wasn't expecting to get that high. All I know is he is probably the most athletic guys I have ever watched.

They probably would have made it, but I don't think its the lock that cavs fans I know think it is. But hey, those same fans don't think KB5 is a lock to live up to his #1 pick, I do....to each his own.

BTW, looks like im arguing wit you about the same thing in two threads.....actually my opinion on the cavs has been flip flopping in every post, so to clarify...

I think the Cavs are talented, will likely be the 2/4 seed in the playoffs and will take the team that beats them to 7 games (lets face it, even if they somehow made the finals there not winning rings unless some Rasheed-esque deal is made). However, when I watch football, my mantra is "Any Given Sunday" , and while it doesnt convert that well to bball, thats the mentality i go into games with. Its that mentality that helped the Bobcats own the Pistons two days ago, and what makes pro sports truly enjoyable for me...
