I had to stop watching for a while too, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for Hayward...that was grotesque.

I was always worried about something like this happening to Gordon on those two-hand dunks/alley-oops. So many times he'd get undercut and would come down somewhat awkwardly and it just always looked shaky.

Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

Unfortunately I don’t think it could look much worse. The only possible way it could be relatively good news if it’s only the ankle affected.

Damn I knew it was bad when Kevin Harlan announced it before the camera even panned to it. Ugh hate to see the season start off like that.

Dude that was the worst part. I heard him say it at least three times and I took it on his word then the camera panned down to show it. I didn’t need that.

Wow man... no way. I’m sittin here playin madden and look up and see all the players in shock and disgust...

Caught the replay and that was brutal... Hope he’s alright and wish him the best.

Even if its just the ankle he could be out for a year or more, Eduardo a soccer player in the EPL suffered a broken leg and the ankle was sticking out, he missed 1 year.

I think the Eduardo situation was worse because it was an impact injury. The situation I’d look at would be Djibril Cisse’s second leg break which only kept him out 4 months.

But huh, basketball and soccer breed different injuries so I dunno.

There's no way around this one. He's done for the season. Same thing happened to Alec Burks and he's just now getting healthy and that was nearly 3 years ago.

Depending on how long Hayward is out he could break the dubious 'record' for the least playing time before being out for the season which is currently Julius Randle who broke his Right Tibia after 14 mins of playing time in his first NBA game.
