on to this subject , nas does have a point , about being a role model then switching up his style , getting tats etc etc ..but its kinda of a weak attempt to ish on kb imo , that song isnt even that good .and its kinda ironic that nas has always tried to be something hes not . he shouldnt be talking .
It's pretty much a hip hop fact that Nas buried Jay in that battle. Judging by your sig I can see why you think otherwise. That ether still burns doesn't it? lol Nas put out two party tracks, and its sad that Jay and the roc a fella zombies only argument against nas are those 2 songs (oochie wally and u owe me). BTW, oochie wasnt his song, it was the bravehearts song, so he helped them out by doin a guest spot, for any other rapper it'd be whateverm but its nas so he's crucified. If I recall, Braveheart Party was on Stillmatic, post Jay-Z war. "Noone else in the room" is on Streets Disciple, again, post Jay-Z. Nas hasn't changed. He did a couple party joints here and there both b4 and after Jay. From One Love, Memory Lane, The Message, If I ruled the world, Nas Is Like, Small World, Some of Us have angels, God Love Us, Kids in the Pj's, Get Down, I can, message to the feds, Nas has a collection of songs that Jay-Z cant touch. However the Zombies wanna keep mentioning TWO songs out of the hundreds in his catalouge. Jay didnt change Nas, he made party tracks b4 and after the war... they still suck, and people still focus on those wack songs b/c noone can attack him for anything else.

i know plenty of ppl who like nas better who think jay killed him . and i like both almost equally i dont play that fanboy ish , i just call em how i see em (i like illmatic much better than any jay cd ), i dont care who i like better.ether was garbage , a 8 yr. old can come up with better lines than , gay-z , cockafella records please ..nas really spit fire , with his elementary lines .while takeover was full of hurtful insights. and then blueprint 2 was just the icing on the cake.jay killed em imo ,.

a hip hop fact please ,mainstream hip hop fans are pretty much ignorant nowadays , i couldnt care less what they think.

anyways , (no heart feelings we just disagree)

i still dont think nas should bring this up , nas isnt perfect and its a pretty known fact they hes a phony. he seems like a hypocrite. see i can say that too .

          Street Disciple,

You're acting like Kobe's off the cuff comment was a well thought out, pre-planned battle rap! Sure he could have thought of better ways to insult Nas, but give him a break, he just made one small comment!

The Jay-Nas thing, I'm not gonna argue about. It's music, so it's open for opinion. Just like you can say Illmatic isn't classic, Biggie isn't top 5 dead or alive, or Chingy is better than jay-z. I dont agree w. any of those but hey, its all about opinion. When deciding who won the battle it is, like everything else, open to opinion, most peoples opinion is that Nas won, so thats what I'm goin on.

Jay-Z is my second favorie MC, it basically goes Nas, Jay, BIG. Anyways, I'll be the very first to admit Nas is a hypocrite, and he's far far far from perfect. I know more about Nas' history as a snake than most people (see I can say it as well, infact if you read my other posts, I have). Which brings me back to my original point... Of all the things Kobe could have went after Nasy Nas for, he chose the unwed father thing, which was weird to me because alot of his peers are in the same boat, and its not that bad to take care of your kid, after getting your girl pregnant. It's not exactly rape.

Bro! Get over it! Like I said, if you asked Kobe to prepare a nice battle rap I'm sure he would come up with a lot more.

                  And a couple more things:
                  1) Kobe did not rape anyone
                  2) All he did was cheat on his wife, so why is Nas hating on him so much? How many rappers/athletes do you think have cheated on their wives!!? Probably more than have had babies out of wedlock. So why don't you criticize Nas? Is that the best thing he could come up with? <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

                      agreed its subjective .

im not going to judge people , but its not exactly a good thing to have children outta wedlock , just cuz a lotta ppl do it doesnt make it morally right imo , i kinda think old fashion , im not down with casual sex etc etc . it was kinda weak , i agree ,kb shouldnt take shots at people like that , but hes probably just said that cuz hes fed up . everybodys taking shots at kb , hes paying for his mistakes imo , ppl should get over it and leave it in the past . we all make mistakes .

I never said it was a battle rap. You're the one who's defending everything I say about him to the death. You coulda just said, "yeah Kobe made a mistake on that one" or "that was a dumb thing to say seeing as how what he's accusing Nas of isnt that bad", but you CANNOT do that because in your eyes Kobe never says the wrong thing. Rule #1 of the ten Kobe commandments is Kobe does not make mistakes. Yes, this was not a well thought out response, I'm aware of this. Tmac is my favorite player, and I'll be the first to admit when he says stuff that is dead wrong in the media (like bashing his mates in orl). Nas is my favorite rapper, but I'll be the first to admit that he is shady as hell. You, my friend cannot just say, Kobe ****** up, and let it die, you gotta battle every word, like I said somethin about your mom. That's whats really sad. I've seen you referred to as Markobe many times... now I know why. I mean come on. instead of sayin yeah, he was wrong. You come at me for not realizing it was a spur of the moment comment made in an interview. Well, guess what, I know it wasn't a preplanned response. He's an athlete, and a huge figure in the media. Kobe deals w/ questions hes not prepared to answer everyday, as do all figures in the media. Just b/c he wasn't prepared to answer it and it was an "off the cuff comment" doesn't mean it doesn't matter. He answered the way he did, and I think it was wrong, you on the other hand, do not see my logic, even though I spelled it out for you at least three times.
