    Re: Kidd trade scenarios

The guys on NBA TV INsider is speculating that Dallas will offer Terry, Armstrong, Henderson and a future draft pick for Kidd.

Just to clear things up M.Daniels is in the first year of his new contract he signed this summer therefore by the NBA collective bargaining agreement he can't be a part of any trade. The Mavs are not going to make this deal if New Jersey wants Howard either so at this point I would say Cuban isn't giving up either of the three young guns Howard, Daniels or Harris.

As I stated in another thread the Nets are looking to clear salary cap room more so than they are looking for equal value in a trade for Kidd. Terry brings them a young scoring PG which is still a solid deal and and both Henderson and Armstrong comes off the Nets books by this summer if that trade scenario goes down. Also, don't be shocked to see A.Mourning included in a deal aswell.

you guys above made some good points. The best fit for him is dallas. Minnesota doesn't work, because they need another scorer and if they give up spree and casell thats losing at least 30-40 ppg. I don't know if kidd can make up that much, plus we don't know how kidd will do coming back from surgery. I think the only option is kidd and mourning to dallas for a bunch of players including terry. This works out well for the mavs because mourning is a solid backup who can easily play about 15-20 minutes in the west, and of course when healthy kidd is the best pure pg in the league (though nash is making a run for that award). However the best the nets can get is terry and some cap space unless they also take stackhouse which could be a possibility.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

          Re: Kidd trade scenarios

You guys act like Kidd's value is worthless. He is the best PG in the league when healthy, and he is going to prove how healthy he is this month.

I know NJ wants to clear cap space, but I don't think they will trade Kidd away for nothing but one year contracts and Jason Terry. Look at what Orlando got for McGrady.

I expect Kidd to stick around for the rest of the year, and the Nets trade away Zo. They won't trade Kidd just to make a trade. They want equal value in return, and Jason Terry isn't even close.

Terry, Armstrong, Henderson and a draft pick will not land Jason Kidd. Nets want young talent and cap space. Terry is what he is a combo guard, I seriously doubt the Nets would want any part of him. Dallas would have to offer Devin Harris or Josh Howard to get any interest at all from the Nets.

I just hope the Nets get something for him, and not just trash.

J.Terry is a nice player, just needs to find the right team/fit. If I'm a team looking for a Pg/Sg, i'd jump @ the chance to land Terry.

I'm sure many of you very same peeps were saying the same thing about C.Billups, now look @ him. The guy bounced around the NBA before finding the right fit/team/system to excell @.

As a Spur fan I would love to get Morning, GOD knows he would bring more every night than Rasho!
