Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
keys to tonight's game for the Bucks
-Take care of the ball. TO numbers need to be closer to 10 than 20.
-I'll forgive Bledsoe for his poor game 1, but Jabari's minutes absolutely need to stay in the low teens. Even if he puts up 20+, he's a negative for us on the floor this year. His herky jerky style of play leads to too many turnovers, and his defense doesn't exist. I love Jabari, and want the best for him and his health, but his scoring ability isn't enough to make up for what he lacks, especially in the playoffs.
-Keep the same defensive scheme as game 1. It worked well switching mostly everything, and Boston struggled for parts of the game to score. Giannis has to be more disciplined defensively. He reaches/gambles for at least 2 stupid fouls a game (Giannis isn't the only one, but we can't afford him to be in foul trouble). I know you got long arms Giannis, but don't be trying to steal the ball when you're getting posted up by reaching both arms around, haha, get those arms up and contest!
-PLEASE NO LONG 2's WITH 15+ seconds left on the shot clock!
-When Giannis doesn't have the ball in his hands, we need to use him more as a screener, off and on ball, and we need to set him more off ball screens to get him open. Seems to me like when Giannis doesn't have the ball, he's standing around too much, and that's when our offense gets stale and we just watch the ball handler.
I borrowed a few of these ideas from Zach Lowe, but only because he is pretty spot on with his analysis. As long as I'm going with the obvious stuff, I'll add one more...
-Score more points than them.
Can't wait for Friday and Sunday, got tickets for both games. Roadman, you gonna make it to one?Last edited by 33JAF; 04-17-2018, 01:19 PM.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Our son is going both nights, he jumped on that quickly, so, he is going to 3 games.
I agree about Parker, I want the best for him, but he looks like a lost soul out there.
I haven't seen the Bucks play that kind of D in awhile, good to see they turned up the heat.
8:30pm on a Friday night in Milwaukee? I'm sure most of the crowd will have some friendly libations in them.
Have fun at the games.Last edited by roadman; 04-17-2018, 01:39 PM.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
I liked what the offense was for the most part really the only significant offensive lull was the 2nd QTR. whenever Parker is in the game C's just need to give whomever he's guarding the ball and attack him. He's not great.
and when MIL goes small with Giannis at the 5 I like the idea of Horford punishing him in the post tho Lowe doesn't think it presents much of a danger. idk though. It seemed like it worked last game and in the previous meetings.
should be a fun game.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Good grief!
The Raptors are just running the Wizards out of the building. What a 1st quarter!Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Simply put, that was the most dominant half of playoff basketball i've ever seen from the Raptors. From a DC perspective thank goodness for their bench. It's the only thing that's giving them the very faint pulse they've got right now.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Toronto has looked really good. The Bucks are so unimpressive. Almost in the same spot as Minnesota where their on court performance does not at all reflect the type of talent they have.
Toronto has looked really damn good tonight.

I’d look like Beal too if I was in foul trouble all game because of picking up those 3 dumb*** fouls of fouling a 3pt shooter.#RespectTheCultureComment

That was a pretty ugly game for the Wiz. I'm counting on them putting up a better showing at home on Friday so the Raps better be prepared for that.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
