Ehhh, he’s playing well and likely would have been great for them in instances where LeBron is on the bench and they have nobody who can get their own looks. But, Cavs already have a major issue with getting that “extra pass” and it was arguably worse with Wade on the floor. At least with Smith you know he’s shooting quick, and Clarkson makes his decision to drive or shoot quickly as well. With Wade you had 14 dribbles and 7 shot fakes before he took his contested shots.
Defensively he might have helped some. He’s better at every aspect on that end than Hood, Clarkson, Smith.. only issue is his loss of quickness is a problem for him, where at least Clarkson and Hood have the quickness to stay with guys despite their mechanics not being as good.. Cleveland has the best of both worlds on the bench with Cedi, but Lue is back to not playing him again because he’s a moron.
