Wow. Tony Parker to the Hornets. 2 years, $10 million.
Homie blew up the Spurs and then dashed. Gonna be odd seeing him in a different jersey.
Either that or the road to recovery with Kawhi calls for telling Tony “deuces” since he’s the one that really set Kawhi off.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
Stretching Anthony would put Oklahoma City in line to save $98,016,437 in luxury-tax payments next season. Dumping him outright in a trade would drop Oklahoma City’s slated tax bill by $132,354,122.
The upside of stretching him: The Thunder could do so unilaterally, maybe in conjunction with him accepting a buyout that increases their savings further. The downside of stretching him: The Thunder would still have to pay him over the next three years, and his cap hit each of those seasons – $9,309,380 (minus potential buyout savings) – would count toward the cap and luxury tax.
The upside of trading him in a straight salary dump: The savings would be larger, and he’d be completely off Oklahoma City’s books. The downside of trading him in a straight salary dump: It’d require major sweeteners to get another team to take Anthony.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
According to Woj, Spurs wanted him back, but he called Pop in the last hour to inform him that he’d accepted Charlotte’s offer. He’ll apparently take on a significant role with the Hornets.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
I just want PG to find success after that gruesome leg injury. The closest he came was in 2013 when he and Indiana got bounced in the ECF. The man overcame a supposedly career-ending injury; I think his heart is sometimes overlooked, tbh.

Nah man, Bron works best with shooters and defenders. None of his PGs can shoot or defend. Ingram cannot defend.
I mean, Bron is still great and the Lakers will be good despite it because LeBron is great. But they are not legit contenders this year. And I'm not sure waiting for legit talent to drop into their laps is a great strategy.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
It's Melo, I don't think there's any chance he's taking a buyout. Stretching him is better than doing nothing but man, having that $10m on the books for three seasons is blah. Terrible situation for OKC to be in.
