        He's a solid 6th man at best.

                I dunno y’all I guess it’s just semantics.

I love Kawhi, partly cos if it wasn’t for him in the 2014 finals I don’t think Bron comes back.

I just think of superstar as perennial MVP candidates, guys who everybody from NBA expert to random dude on the street knows, for their basketball accomplishments. Which is pretty much LeBron, Steph, KD and outside of that there isn’t really anybody.

capela may as well just take his QO or go get a 1 year contract in LAL or something and go hit the market next year like everyone else. if he thinks hes worth a max, gamble on it.

This is one of those more complex cases. I like Capela I really do, and of course I'm going to advocate him getting paid. The problem lies with ownership and whether they want to give him that 100 million dollar contract, or meet somewhere in the middle. Like 4/100 million is a lot for a Center that had to get pulled against Golden State because he was an easy "hack-a" target, but options are limited. We have a few young guys that I'm high on in terms of developement like Hartenstein (who played damn good in the D League, and has shown far more offensive polish and defensive awareness in the Summer League so far) and Onauku who have both shown good developement so far. I hope the ownership can give our front office the go ahead, but this is how they've always operated with RFAs. They give them an offer, if they don't like it they sign an offer sheet elsewhere and we match, or they take the offer. Only problem for Capela, is not many other teams are in a rush to sign him to an offer sheet so the team isn't in any big hurry to throw the bank at him. So either the two sides can come to a good compromise whether it be 4/80, 4/100 or whatever, or he bets on himself and takes the QO.

Lol. But seriously that's just the playing for San Antonio effect.

For example, Timmy D. I don't think a lot of non bball folks would even know Tim Duncan. Hell seems like even the bball heads forget about him when we talk about the games goats.

My man didn't even get a farewell tour like Kobe did. And he's arguably better. 🤷🏾*♂️

I didn’t watch enough Spurs games or enough of Kawhi to really have an opinion. In my head though, I thought he was surrounded by 3 Hall of Famers when he came up on the scene. And idk if I can trust him enough to say ‘Kawhi go get me a bucket’... besides shooting a crazy percentage from 3, if he’s not shooting that, idk why I feel like his only other move is going straight to the basket. What them handles do??? But I’m ignorant when it comes to Kawhi but that’s just what I’ve always thought, but anyway... is he really a legit superstar?

In 2016 his stat line was
                          25 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 asp, 48% FG and 38% 3PT

                          Victor Oladipo 2017/2018
                          23 ppg, 5 rpg, 4apg, 47% FG and 37% 3PT

Paul George last season in IND
                          24 ppg, 7ppg, 3 apg, 46% FG and 39% 3PT

Granted Kawhi has the defense that separates him from the rest of the league, is he truly just a second-tier level guy? I’ve heard some say (not here) that Paul George isn’t a hug who can be the face of the franchise. Is Kawhi’s defense what makes him able to?

How in the world is TD arguably better than Kobe?

It's not even a contest. TD was the best player of his generation.
