Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Exactly one year to the day after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Charlotte Hornets, Dwight Howard was reportedly dealt Wednesday to the Brooklyn Nets. And like last year, Howard's teammates are apparently happy to see him go."When I talk to people behind the scenes, the locker room hated Dwight Howard," former NBA player and current ESPN broadcaster Brendan Haywood told SiriusXM NBA Radio on Wednesday. "I'm not sure Charlotte is rebuilding or if they're just trying to get Dwight Howard out of there, but it was clear the locker room did not like Dwight Howard."The reported trade sent Timofey Mozgov and two second-round picks to Charlotte. Mozgov, who has two years and $32 million left on his deal, averaged just over four points and three rebounds per game last season. Howard, who has one year and $24 million left on his contract, averaged a double-double.Following Howard's trade from Atlanta last year, reports surfaced that some in the Hawks' locker room were "screaming in jubilation" at the news. The Nets will be Howard's fourth NBA team in four years. While not the force he once was, he's still averaged 14.7 points and 12.3 rebounds on nearly 60 percent shooting over the last three seasons."(He) has to look at this trade, look at himself in the mirror and realize, 'Why am I a guy that is averaging a double-double every year of my career, but I'm getting passed all around the league like I'm trash,'" Haywood added.

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Well worth the potential headache if you're Brooklyn. If Dwight acts up, send his *** home with the quickness. He already contributed clearing all that cap room, which is the sole purpose for acquiring the guy in the first place.Comment

"The (Hornets) locker room did not like Dwight Howard," @bwood_33 says on @SiriusXMNBA "Guys were just sick and tired of his act."
Not sure what Brendon Haywood means but if this is really the reason, man.Comment

So what is really going on with Kawhi? Is he just this soft? I mean this guy is holding some kind of grudge. Something really really upset him.
Whether the Spurs handled his injury right or wrong. This is just been such a weird situation and just something I never expected out of him.

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Lou isn't a starter. Bench guys do get moved around more frequently, which is why I wanted to know specifically a starter in this case. Shaq did 4 teams in 4 seasons to end his career. That's one of more recent I can think of.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
What Pack said. Nets have no incentive to resign Howard (and honestly I'm of the belief he gets waived or flipped again by deadline) when they have Allen who has shown great promise this off season. By the way Pack low-key I'm happy for you family.Comment

That was mostly a health/age thing though no? I cant think of any starter/all-star caliber player who cant stick with a team because of his attitude/personality.Comment
