Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Every star/big name player being linked to LA/NY isn’t even news anymore.
I almost expect it to be thrown out there even if the teams are trash.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Big markets don’t matter though I thought.
As for the PG rumors, who knows if they’re true but we all know not to take what he tells the media seriously at least when it comes to topics on if he’s leaving. So I don’t really care too much about him saying he likes the Thunder and all that stuff. I think he’s gone. He’s already said he wants to play in LA.. once he gets in that room with Magic this summer it’s over lol. Had the Thunder played better this year and went deeper in the playoffs I think it would’ve been a more difficult decision.

I for one always leave inspired anytime I hear Magic speak. I can easily see George buying into whatever a wordsmith like Magic is selling.Comment

PG seems like the type of guy to buy into what Magic says IMO lol... but that wasn’t really my point anyway. I just think he has Lakers on his mind already and when he gets that meeting it’s done. Dude has been talking or hinting about wanting to play for them for years. What’s the alternative? What does OKC sell to him? They just lost in the first round to a team with inferior talent. LAL has the bigger upside long term and he’s expressed his desire to be there so I don’t see why he’d change his mind now after his disappointing season with the Thunder.

Sam Presti says the core of the team is Adams, RWB and Paul George.
He aint even mention Melo.
Man if Melo opts into that 30 million Presiti gonna be in shock and awe when he gets the news on ESPN that George is in some other GM's office signing paperwork.
He also said they're keeping Billy Donovan.Comment

I’d wager a nice bit of money Melo won’t be in OKC by the time next season starts.
And of course they’re bringing back Donovan. Why wouldn’t they?
Revis: So we brush aside anything he’s said about remaining in OKC but we take serious anything that’s been reported about him going to LA?
That’s an interesting logic.#RespectTheCultureComment

Melo might be out, but he's not turning down that 28 million because they think him not wanting to come off the bench isnt best for the team.
Its going to be interesting to see what kind of assets teams give up for a washed Melo who makes that much.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Well I’m operating under the assumption he won’t turn it down either. But if he’s basically going to be Grouchy Melo going into next season(which sounds like he might go that route based on his recent comments)they’ll find a way to get rid of him, either by trade or buy out.
And then he’ll be free to go to wherever he wants aka wherever Lebron is at and play for the cheap because he’ll finally be making a “sacrifice”.[emoji849]#RespectTheCultureComment

Money Melo about his money

Ain’t nobody worried about Magic.
Just a year ago, y’all were the same ones laughing at him about saying he’s getting Lebron, PG or both and now we supposed to take him serious. [emoji42][emoji42][emoji42][emoji42][emoji42][emoji42][emoji42][emoji42]#RespectTheCultureComment

He's impressionable, especially when it comes to being here.
I think he should look at Philly thoughLast edited by 23; 05-02-2018, 04:52 PM.Comment
