I like what I’m seeing from Ante. Hopefully our European legion does some big things for us this season.

Re: 2018 Summer League Discussion Thread
Grayson Allen is one of those guys you hate when he's not on your team, but he's your favorite player if he is.
This guy is amazing. Got Wade Baldwin ejected by just being irritating on defense. Can never have too many guys like him. He's actually been producing really well, too, even if his shot hasn't been falling. His shot will come, he's a solid shooter.

Re: 2018 Summer League Discussion Thread
Trae Young’s shot selection is still just atrocious pulling up 5 feet behind the line with 18 seconds and shooting with 2 guys in his face with a teammate open. You can rest assured if he scores then he is shooting the ball the next time down the court. Don’t be ticked by the stat line he got 10 of his points from the foul line. He does make good passes so there is that. I don’t see how he scores in the NBA outside of 3’s and the foul line

Agreed but damn he does look bad on defense. I know SL but he looked lazy on defense on both games. Hopefully Chandler helps him shape up.

Re: 2018 Summer League Discussion Thread
Svi Mickey can shoot the leather off the ball! He has a great understanding of spacing and where to be on the basketball floor, and I love the way he attacks rebounds, a very intelligent basketball player. The way he moves reminds me of Klay so once he learns how to truly move without the basketball use screens to get open, he’s gonna be ridiculous.
Mo Wagner is also another high IQ basketball player. A great offensive skill set, has an understanding of when and where to pick his spots, I could see the Lakers not bringing back Brook Lopez for Mo. Needs to commit to the defensive side of the ball, especially on the interior. Haven’t really seen him switched out on the perimeter but I believe he’ll understand how to play defense as a help defender just by watching Javale McGee.
Overall, between those two and Josh Hart and Caruso, these guys are definite contributors, this season.
Hart will get minutes, Wagner some as well, the others nah.

Carter looked good.
Still in love with Harry
Ayton vs Bags
And this guy.... Thunder have to keep him right? It's shocking to go from top 5 players in your class to the second round. And then get traded twice. That's tough. He's fighting for everything in these summer league games.

I also saw the Knicks signed Mitchell to a long term contact. That's nice to hear.

I don't know who Trier is, but he's not worth the development. Pure hero ball.
I guess take your chance to impress someone?

Re: 2018 Summer League Discussion Thread
He was one of those recruits who messed up and stayed too long in school and let the scouts overanalyze him out of the 1st round (and we all know the 2nd round is pretty much euro stash pick central).
About 2 years ago I think he was projected as a lottery pick? In any case, it's why I'll never blame kids for going too early if every mock draft and scout has you going in the 1st round.
It is very possible to stay too long in college and play your way out of the NBA.Comment
