I can't help but think that he's just going to absolutely feast on college competition. Anyone that can come close to matching his strength will probably be at a severe speed/quickness disadvantage and anybody that can keep up with him will likely be weak enough that he can overpower them. I'll be curious to see how this team does against the Syracuse zone, but this feels like a team that has the potential to pretty much run through the competition this year, and Zion will be the biggest reason why IMO.

To be honest there aren't that many players in the NBA who'll fit the bill. Draymond, who's 50 lbs lighter, bullies plenty of people. Julius Randle is 30 lbs lighter and a bully. NBA guys may not be afraid of him (I don't necessarily that UK's bigs were afraid of him, especially Reid Travis) but not many modern NBA guys have the physical profile to deal with Zion.

I know Orangemen run a different kind of zone. But did you see some of the zone possession for Duke. The fact that they were ready for it.

          Spoiler

Yeah. I just don’t think Kentucky’s zone is nearly as strong and I also don’t expect Duke to shoot it as well as they did against Kentucky on a consistent basis. At any rate, I think playing a good zone and trying to make them shoot jumpers is pretty much the only hope to beating Zion and Barrett. I think they’ll probably be successful even against Syracuse though.

Syracuse's zone is unlike any other in college so it's tough to compare. Zion is an ideal fit to plop at the FT line and attack a 2-3 though. I also don't think how Duke matches up vs Syracuse is all that relevant since it'll only be two or three games.

"They" are silly. Zion has a much better handle than either of those two. Zion is more perimeter oriented than either of those two.

A young Randle is still the worst hand-less player I can recall in recent memory. Guy would go left, left, and left again, even if it meant driving into a triple team.

Has their been a player with Bol's combination of height, length, and mobility like that since Ralph Sampson? I guess Poringod is about that size as well, tough to remember with how guard-esque his game looks at times.

Watched Romeo Langford for the first time last night. He's not an explosive athlete but he sure is smooth, skilled, and under control. Makes some tough moves/finishes look easy.

I doubt I'll ever put him over the three Dookies but a team can likely do a lot worse than snatching someone like him in the 5-10 range.
