As far as I know he hasn't signed a agent so its as simple as him saying I want to return to school.

That's true. Of course, then he would miss out of a years worth of salary, plus shoe money and other endorsements. Not to mention, there's no guarantee that he wouldn't end up in the same situation (or worse) next year.

        Y’all are bugging.

He’d only have to stay there for 4 years(5 if you count RFA)and then he could leave whenever or probably get traded. It makes no sense to turn down NBA salary just to go back to school and do what exactly?

He’ll be fine in New Orleans.

The Cavs don't have a better organization than the Bulls. Can't speak for those other two though, I'm sure their fans can make an argument. For all the garbage they've done over the years, GarPax still drafts pretty solidly and both front offices have one obvious pick that was gifted to them that lead to their most success. But the Bulls currently are in significantly better shape for the future than the Cavs are. You take LeBron away from the Cavs and Derrick Rose away from the Bulls and the Bulls organization has still done more under this front office than anything the Cavs have done. They don't even have a playoff appearance without LeBron.

Why would he want rather go to NY, again? Because he hasn't followed that franchise at all in his lifetime, and thinks they are a great well run organization?

They literally have 1 season without LeBron, and it was also without Kevin Love. Griffin turned the entire organization around since he became GM, including building one of the best NBA analytics departments in the NBA.

GarPax has been awful for a long time. If they are finally on the upswing, good for them. But the Bulls organization has been one that's always gotten in it's own way since Jordan left.

The Bulls future looks better right now because they've been in their rebuild longer. And they still don't have a single player better than Kevin Love. Say what you want about why Love got to Cleveland, but Love did commit to the organization after LeBron left.

Either way, this is probably a topic for a different thread. Anyone willing to throw out their top 10 prospects?

A good ownership and front office is the best way to turn around a team, not consistently high draft picks.

Would things really be different for the Suns if they were gifted another top 5 pick for being terrible? For all we know, they'd draft another Bender, Chriss, Len, etc.

UCF's Tacko Fall official measurements at the NBA Combine: 7'5 1/4 without shoes, 7'7 with shoes, 289 pounds, 8'2 1/4 wingspan, 10'2 1/2 standing reach, 6.8% body fat. Tacko just broke every figure in our database for height, wingspan and reach, dating back to the 80s.

AD isn't staying and whatever package they get for him isn't going to help them win anything of important for a few years in the West. You know they are going overpay some FA in the next few years because they will be in win now mode.
True. New Orleans has also done a piss poor job of surrounding AD with enough help. Especially in the loaded west. New Orleans will always be a football city. I see it a lot like Atlanta, actually. Basketball is nice, but no one loses their mind over it. And for as great a talent as AD is, hes kinda boring. Zion has a certain buzz about him. I think a magnetic star like Zion, with the production, could move the needle. I'm still not sure about David Griffin, I feel like a lot of the moves he made in Cleveland were from under the gun of LeBron leaving again. It looks like New Orleans is more committed to the basketball operations and now they have a potential star in tow.

I dont follow college sports they bore me. So I dont really know most of the players but I have been hearing that there is a big drop off after the first 3 guys. So I am wondering than who could be a sleeper player in the draft?

I think there may, or may not be. It's really hard to tell if those guys just stood out, or if 4-everyone is really just that much of a fall off.. We have an ECF right now where the two best players were picked at 15, and the only lottery player on the floor is Brook Lopez.. There are no guarantees in any draft, and I think a lot of these guys might not have that "start potential" but could easily find themselves being one of those other guys starting on a really good playoff team.

I think there are quite a few guys with really high boom/bust potential as well. Someone like Cam might have just struggled to adjust as an 18 year old kid might look great a couple years into his pro career. Bol could have more potential than anyone. Culver showed flashes of being a great player, that consistency might come with age for him as well.

I could see this being a draft where only 3 guys were really looked at but we end up with some steals later on.

There are a lot of freshman who were projected to be studs in this class, a lot of them hurt or just didn't transition as well as expected.. Sometimes those guys hit their stride after a ear or two in the league and end up being more along the lines of what people saw in them when they were 16-17 years old.

                                And NO should trade him.

If Lakers offer 4th pick, I'm taking that if I'm NO.

Package 4th with something else(if Lakers give up additional 1sts in deal, use that) and move up.

Imagine a future starting lineup with:
                                FA
                                Randle
                                Zion
                                Barrett
                                FA

The money NO would have, they could put together a real nice team for years to come. If they're good AND have RJ/Zion together, perhaps those 2 might actually want to stay in NO long term.
