Morris and Kanter gone? Raptors targets getting fewer. Hopefully Pau gets bought out, but I doubt it. What good C options are even left?

The Celtics were annoyed by the story of Irving having eyes for New York, not because of Irving, but because they felt the story was planted by Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, in order to scare the Pelicans into thinking Boston would back off making a trade offer for Davis in July if Irving left.

“It was cheap and underhanded,” one source told SN.
This aint been a good year for rich paul has it?

Zubac is so much better than Javale, should have tried to trade him instead

This would all make sense, whether true or not it's completely logical.

To me, the Lakers hanging on to all assets for a future trade was maybe not the greatest move. I look at Tobias Harris going to Philly as an example, Shamet and some 2nd round picks is basically all it took to land him. Lakers could have beaten that pretty easily just by adding one of their firsts to whatever made the money match.

A move like that would have helped them make their playoff push this year, still have a shot at adding a big name as a free agent, using Harris's bird right to keep him with the new piece, and keep most of the young core. And if it didn't work out or the fit was wrong, Harris is an expiring anyways.

Free agent Markieff Morris has agreed to sign with Oklahoma City, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

You really already forget how well McGee, who has bad asthma, was playing before he got pneumonia? I’m developing a strong dislike for Zubac just based on how overrated he’s become.

You are aware that Philly had to give up a 2020 1st and 2021 Miami unprotected 1st as well?

Ahh nope, missed that. Went back to see what all was in the trade and that part was actually a paragraph above what the rest of the package was.

That would be a bigger disaster than the Hindenburg.
