Re: 11/6 - 11/12 Games Discussion Thread
I can understand arguments for C's and Bucks but Idk what you're smokin' if you think the Pacers could beat the Raptors in a 7 game series. The Raptors are literally better at every position other than SG.
Lowry > Collison
Green < Dipo
Kawhi > Bogdanovic
Siakam > Young
Ibaka > Turner
Raps bench > Pacers bench
We’ll see. Right now they are 1 and 4 and would play in the 2nd round. Maybe we’ll get that matchup.

There are literally people saying they’re better than the Celtics and already calling for them to win the conference. It’s most certainly being said.

I'm not sold on the C's, everyone just assumed they would win the ECF this year because the thought was they would've beaten Cleveland if they had Kyrie and/or Hayward.
Whether that's true or not, it's completely irrelevant to the '18-'19 season because the '19 Raptors and the '19 Bucks are both better than the '18 Cavs. And from what I see so far, I like the Raptors the most out of those three teams. It's obviously early and a long season but where's the fun in not choosing picks as the season goes a long?
And not only that, I just think it's crazy to say some of the stuff that's been said on here like "regular season Raps" or "we've seen this with them before" when they have significantly not only changed their style of play, but they replaced their choking iso-scorer who couldn't shoot threes and was meh on defense with a guy who was only two years ago considered by some as the second best player in the world, but undoubtedly a top 4 player.Comment

Yeah, I don’t get lumping this year’s Raptors team in with those of past seasons. To me that feels like a lazy excuse to dismiss them as a legit conference contenders. Their recent postseason history is no more shaky than any other franchise left in the conference if we are keeping it a buck.

Re: 11/6 - 11/12 Games Discussion Thread
I think what people don’t agree with is you acting like they as a team haven’t played at this level before. Which they have. They have a couple different players, utilize a coupe different line-ups, but team performance isn’t something we haven’t seen out of the same team that had DeRozan. Yet you weren’t in here clamoring for him to be MVP 6 games into the season for averaging 27ppg on the best team in the East.
You laughed it all off as advanced stats when I posted them but the team has played this well already in the past. And their strength of schedule right now is bottom 8 in the league. I don’t think anyone is laughing off the whole team because LeBron and saying that they are the exact same and that the exact same will happen his year, and that Kawhi chokes like DeRozan.. that’s just the hyperbole stuff you’re spinning it into when someone says they need to wait and see if this is sustainable and if they don’t fall back on any bad playoff habits.

I fair to see how this is anywhere near comparable either. One team has gone to the playoffs 5 years in a row while being among the league’s best(or conference’s best)teams and the others have been mediocre teams just fighting to get in during that same time span.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 11-09-2018, 10:37 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Kawhi and Green come from a winning culture. That stuff matters and that's the stuff that will never show up in a box score, but it's evident in their results so far.
You can't dismiss those things that stats can't measure. Nurse, Kawhi, and Green > > > > > > Casey, DeMar, Poetl or whatever his name was.Comment

And it’s cool for y’all to name drop me. I was the one that said no one is worried about the Raptors. No need to to say “some on here” because it was just me.
Signed, Management.
Or really anyone not named the Warriors or Cavs. Rockets are getting **** on hard right now but they're actually playing like ****. Raptors meanwhile look amazing but people mock them cause LeBron was their kryptonite...well newsflash, he's gone and so is DeChokezan (nice, right?).
Although I'm not gonna lie, I would be extremely interested in the timeline where the Lakers meet the Raptors in the NBA Finals to really put that theory to test, lol.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 11-09-2018, 10:32 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment
