So what's up with the control in Dallas

I also recall RWB getting fined 25K for telling a fan in Dallas to shut up and watch the game


People slammed KD a couple weeks ago for doing the same thing RWB did in Dallas as well

Now Pat Beverly got kicked out last night in Dallas for similar fan yelling something out at him


At what point does the NBA start looking at fans a bit harder... You know the one guy ruined it for everyone type of thing.

Has to be more than just normal heckling.

I remember players used to say they'd say some pretty wild things to them in Utah as well.

I doubt heckling has really intensified over the years, in fact it's probably lightened up a bit being that everything can be recorded at anytime and the social climate we're in. Athletes just have to keep it together (easier said than done I'm sure) and report it instead of reacting.

I doubt heckling has really intensified over the years, in fact it's probably lightened up a bit being that everything can be recorded at anytime and the social climate we're in. Athletes just have to keep it together (easier said than done I'm sure) and report it instead of reacting.

Heckling and going over the line are two different things.

I've seen fans kicked out of the arena for saying or doing something dumb from the stands.

If that same guy who held up that sign for Paul Pierce did today he'd be ousted quick.

Buying a ticket doesn't = say whatever you wanna say to whomever you wan to.

Players can essentially get anyone the want removed from the arena....if it's to the point its getting to them that bad and they're going to react in a way that gets them fined, they're better off exerting that power....

In Bevs case, from what I read that's what he tried to do and they didn't react quick enough, so thats unfortunate....

I just notice this keeps happening in the same arena was the particular point.

Not that there is some drastic consequence, but yeah if it continues to happen you can't just say it falls on the other 29 teams that come in the arena.

Mainly brought it up also because people were essentially calling KD soft and all kinds of nonsense for doing the exact same thing RWB did to a tee.

Then it happens again last night and its like yeah you know those players hear all kinds of things they ignore than its always that one fan or group that goes overboard.

I didn’t mean in the sense that the players can’t do anything about it.

But it’s been going on for YEARS and as far as I know, I’ve yet to hear of any instances of a player reporting a fan during a game because I feel like they’re usually too busy focusing and worrying about the game at hand, despite the fans saying some wild stuff. And since the Officials aren’t doing anything about it, the players are just going to react.

Not that I blame them either.

Again, a great first half from Thompson. 13 and 8.

It’s just that he goes unbelievably passive in the second half of every game. He SHOULD be a 20 point double double player.

I personally think a lot of what some fans do/say and what players do/say could be cleaned up a bit. Even when not firing back at fans there is lots of F-bombs and N-bombs coming from player chatter on the floor, and some of the things they say to refs.. A lot of kids in attendance at these games and I think refs could be a little quicker to pull the trigger on T's on some of this stuff than what they are.

Also, heckling from the fans is one thing, but we know how overboard these fans can get at times. That girl in the Noah picture being a big example, that stuff shouldn't be allowed as much as it probably is.
