So yeah, LeBron is definitely MVP if MVP were to be given to the actual most "valuable" player. This team is so lost without him (as is Cleveland).

You earn mvp on the floor not when youre sitting on the bench.

Hmm I disagree that anything that happens when he's not on the floor is relevant to his MVP status or not.

I do think that how the team performs without you can be an indication of how much value you provide when you’re playing. Especially if the production on the court matches what you would assume would happen off. I think Bron and Steph both get a couple of extra bonus points for that in their small sample sizes this year. I still think Giannis is the MVP as of now though. I also think Embiid is being slept on a bit. Paul George, Harden, Kawhi, all obviously in the running.

I do think that how the team performs without you can be an indication of how much value you provide when you’re playing. It depends on how much “value” should be incorporated, if that makes sense.

I just don’t think it should be as simple or black/white as “Team plays bad when X player is on the bench, so therefore he’s MVP”.

I think the second week of January is a little early to be thinking about, never mind campaigning for why the guy you stan deserves MVP votes.

Then again I never understood why anyone gives a **** about awards like MVP so don’t mind me.

I would expect nothing less from cima than to be making a case why LeBron should still not only be in the thick of the MVP race, but the hands down winner despite missing nearly a month of action when anybody missing that kind of time in an MVP race against a healthy LeBron would be bloody murder that they’re even being mentioned for the award.
