The Mac stats that that explain a lot...

Macs 3 point shot percentage has got progressively worse the past 2 and a half seasons...

And yet, he takes more and more three's each year...

That to me says that a guy is settling for long J's way, way too much.

3 point shots.


2000 / 2001 = 166

2001 / 2002 = 283

2002 / 2003 = 448

2003 / 2004 = 513

This season, nearly 130 already.


As I said in another post, get down on the blocks man...your 6'8 and most your opponents are 3 inches smaller. Time to do the tough stuff, stand up and be counted.

There's been way, way too many excuses already in Mac's career.

Van Gundy got the Knicks to the Finals.

Stevie Francis got this Houston team to the play offs...

But suddenly Van Gundy "can't coach" according to Mac fans...and the Houston role players are "hopeless"...all guys who made the play offs last year under a different leader

No more excuses. Forget the 3 ball and get your *** into the paint.

I don't think it's that.

500 plus 3 balls in a season should be Glen Rice type players...ie, pure shooters.

Mac should be posting up smaller guards and abusing them / drawing double teams.

If i was coach Van Gundy, i'd be demanding he do that.

Did you know plays are run? If yes:
Did you know that JVG doesn't run plays for TMac in the post, at all? If yes:
Did you know Yao Ming is on his team?

You really need to see the Rockets play before you hate on TMac. Stats cannot explain the Rocket phenomenon this year.

Tmac just needs time adjusting, but the stats do show that he is wanting to shoot more. Didn't you guys see him play the past few seasons, where have you guys been? Now this doesn't mean t-mac is sucking.

Instead of posting up all the 6 foot guards in the east...he was putting up more 3 ball each year.
