weird trade then, other than Houston wanting to move Tmac to the 3 and bolstering their guard position, but then NO has like no reason to trade really..even though jimmy jackson is a good player he's old and won't likely be around long enough for NO to become competitors

I dont think they care to compete really. It is odd. HOU still needs a PF.. this article might help

The Hornets made out like old school bandits on this one, no way should two players ever be traded for David Wesley...ever, Houston had better have draft picks coming too b/c this makes no sense at all...Wesley is a scoring 2 and was not a good PG...which is what the Rockets need...they should have traded Jimmy to Minnesota for Eddie Griffin.

All it does is get rid of Wesley's contract and hopefully gives JR Smith more PT.

Everybody in the NBA is getting dumber and dumber.

I don't understand this trade for either side.

Yeah, I can see it freeing up cap space for the Hornets, getting rid of Wesley's contract. But how would putting Jim Jackson, a good player, in front of JR Smith get him more PT!?

JR plays the 2. Jim Jackson can play the 2 or 3.
