If our team has woken up and will actually play/help kawhi and Siakam philly is in big trouble come Thursday.

If Thursday is going to be kawhi plus some Siakam and a bunch of pylons who can’t/don’t want to shoot......

See you Sunday in game 7.

Isn’t he sick not hurt? Probably pump the breaks on that since his health actually seems to be trending in the positive direction for now. A lot of his early problems could have been because the dude was still growing. He played the most games and minute per of his career this season.

Pat Ewing had a similar first couple of years missing about half those seasons. He played the next 9-10 years hardly missing any games at all. It’s possible.

It seems as though the serious issue, his foot, is holding up well. Most of his time missed since that was precautionary for little things. Sore back, sore this or that, this stomach issue, I think something with his hand once, maybe his eye one too if I’m remembering that right.. all things that really have no carry over going forward.

He may very well end up with an injury prone career.. but it’s a bit too early to call that now, especially since he’s sitting with stomach issues of all things.

Keep reading that statsheet on the bench down by 30 Embiid.

It doesn't matter if he's sick or not, especially when he likes to showboat.

I don't even know why they're bringing up his being sick. They should tell him to stop eating 3 full chick fil a meals with milkshakes so much.
3 Chick Fil A meals AND a Milkshake??

Is this forreal? Lmao damn I hope that’s not true.

Biggest thing though is Embiid can’t play a full 82 game season, gets hurt by the end of the season and isn’t in condition to play big playoff minutes ( combo of his fault and the injuries).

The 76ers have basically tried everything to get him to the playoffs the last 2 years. So given that, when he is healthy they’re basically all in and have to view their window as very small and go for it with the type of deals they made this year.

Of the 2, they should try to trade Embiid more but they aren’t likely to get back the value they want for him.

Saying all that, all it takes is one game to swing a series lol.

I believe Landry Shamet mentioned one time getting him donuts and 4 milk and cookie shakes. Now while that sounds like heaven to me, it doesn’t sound ideal for a top level NBA player.

I like Embiid he is one of my favorite players in the league. I would bring back Harris and Butler if I'm the GM and try it for another year. However if the time comes and I have to pick between Ben and Embiid I'm easily taking Ben.

You just cant build your team around Embiid because he is always hurt. It doesn't matter how much talent you have if you cant get on the court it doesn't matter. He already had issues with his back, knee and something else which I'm forgetting. The past shows big men his age with injury history don't just magically get better. He appears to always be out of shape with a horrible diet and I don't think even practices. Heck he had to take 6 shots this postseason just to be able play. He played in like 3 games after the all star break and then gets to the postseason and is still not healthy.

Its the biggest game of his life and he is laying in bed all day and walking around like a zombie because of a upper respiratory issue.

Re: 2019 Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

I think Embiid is just way too good to trade between the two. It's been clear since last year IMO that these two likely wouldn't work together long-term, but Embiid is in the debate for best player in the league when he's at full-strength and as long as you don't pair him with someone like Simmons, you can basically build any kind of team around him and be a potential contender. On top of that, he's the guy that the Philly fans love.

I personally would not want to be building my team around Simmons, but some other team will look at his talents and think if they build a team around him, they'll have something.

I'd feel much more comfortable building a team around Embiid's health question marks than Simmons' ability question marks.

Embiid is the easy one to keep between the two, despite his issues.

                      Easy.

Embiid probably can't play nor will he ever play 82 regular season games in a season...and he doesn't have to. Not in the era of "load management". He will be a 70 games a season guy (hopefully).

He needs to get his *** on the gym and do that Instagram **** that he likes from the gym and post about how "he is in the best shape of his life".

Same with Simmons, I need stories about how since the 76ers were eliminated he has shot a 1,000 3's every day, of week of every month.

I want commitment goddammit. You get paid millions to play basketball, THIS IS YOUR JOB. Simmons bitches after getting booed at home. Embiid likes to talk A LOT OF **** about renting space in so and so's head but always has an excuse ready whenever he doesn't play well.

                        DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Its been 5 years and the most games Embiid has played in a season is 64 he hasn't even proven he can even get to 70. If he had played more down the stretch 76ers had a chance at the 2nd seed which could be the difference in who wins the series.
