It might work against the Lakers in getting Kawhi that Magic can't be there, but I'm glad that he isn't allowed to come. He's like the Joker, you have know idea what he might say or do. Leonard not wanting the coach or the medical staff there seems weird to me, but hey, it's Kawhi.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -
Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Pretty much what I expected them to do all along. This keeps their options open. They go into free agency and try to land Kyrie and KD or he and Kyrie. If they get KD and Kyrie they can pull the offer and allow him to become unrestricted. Otherwise they can find out that they’ve missed on the big fish and then match whatever offers he gets.
Downside to this is other teams can put them in a bad spot while they wait on decisions from KD, Kyrie, etc. if he signs with a team on Monday for example they need to know where they stand with the big fish within 48 hours in order to match.

It's already been bad during free Agency. I can't imagine how it will be when the season is going on.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Couple it with LeBron only groupies and you have a hot mess.
I'd rather live with the unrealistic Kobe homers than this group

It’s so overbearing to hear about free agent rumors that involve LeBron [emoji849][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

They really had no reason no to do this. Assumed it was a given.

Story filed to ESPN: Golden State’s Kevin Durant is planning to engage four teams in discussions upon the opening of NBA free agency on Sunday – the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Warriors, league sources tell ESPN.

Honestly, any free agent should talk to as many teams as they want to, and get the full wine and dine treatment regardless if their mind is made up or not.
It's their right.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
If they could get Kawhi, than good. But, I still don't think it is a good idea. I'm sure they are going to sell him on title contention, him not being the 3rd option, and future with AD after Lebron retires. I don't see Kawhi being the third option. You have an aging Lebron and AD who isn't guaranteed to remain healthy. So, I could see them preserving their minutes and allowing Kawhi to take over. But the issue would be depth. Whether Kawhi or other max, it wouldn't be a wise idea. It isn't like the Miami big 3 where they were able to take paycuts so they could get better depth. Plus you have a mid 30s LeBron. You would need those starting 4 to play heavy minutes every game to cover for lack of depth and that isn't something they should do.
So split the money up and allow Bron not to play heavy minutes every game. If it ain't Kawhi, then go for depth. They need to see if Kuz can be that legit 3rd option. If he can continue to score 18-20 ppg, that should suffice next to Bron and AD going over 25 ppg. They need to prepare for a lot of Load Management. They can't do that with lack of depthComment
