He was a good coach with Indy, his ORL run obviously wasn't great. He tried to stay big when the league was going small. Now he's said himself he had to unlearn a lot of the offensive principles he knew, so he at least has acknowledged he needs to change...but easier said than done and are just words at this point.

Yes I do I am sure Vogel will known how to use rotations something Walton has no idea how to do.

One of my favorite college coaches went to that organization... ugh.

never thought a woj bomb could hurt this much.

I wish him all the best though.

Love the hire. I think he's perfect for the NBA. A player's coach and obviously his offensive mind is ideal for today's NBA. He's certainly worth the risk over an NBA retread. I never thought he'd make the jump; assuming he felt it was now or never.

One of the few times where a college hire may translate to the pro game. I think Cleveland will give him a chance to grow along with what should become a pretty young and hungry roster.

                        Extremely unexpected and awesome.

It fits really well with what they were looking for in terms of player development for their young team. Putting Beilein with a guy like Cedi and Sexton who you have to kick out of the gym might actually work.

Wow....surprised he'd want to deal with the NBA grind.

I think there are enough college coaches out there who hate recruiting so much that they'd trade it for the extra 50+ games in an NBA season. Wouldn't surprise me if Beilein is one of them.

Lakers sign Vogel. Imagine if they signed him a year sooner. PG to Lakers rumors would've been crazier.

I saw something on Twitter where the investigators who were looking into the corruption with NCAA coaches said that Beillein was the only one who was totally clean and that him leaving the NCAA tells more about what's going on there than anything else.
