I think it just player for player. It saves Grizzlies 3 mill in cap. Most likely will waive or trade Howard

No but they'll probably try to get another before waiving Dwight

Think someone definitely gives him a deal. Just a low deal. He still puts up decent stats, it just he is injury proned

                Is this wrong

Memphis traded Conley to the Jazz for the following:
                1. Grayson Allen(last year 1st round pick), Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver
                2. 2 1st round picks from the Jazz(#23 of this year's draft and 2020 1st round pick)
                3. 25M Traded Player Exception.

Then they used part of the TPE to absorb Andre Iguodala while getting another future 1st round pick from the Warriors.

Then they used the remaining part of the TPE and Kyle Korver in order to absorb Josh Jackson, De'Anthony Melton and 2 future second round picks from the Phoenix Suns(which will probably be good 2nds since there is not much light coming from that black hole masquerading as the Suns)).

And now they seem to be trying to trade Iggy for another 1st round pick to a contender. WOW! I have no idea whether they will succeed and even if they don't, the foresight, resourcefulness and smarts of those series of trades is impressive. If they succeed they might end up with:
                1. 4 1st round picks, 2 second round picks
                2. Grayson Allen(last year's 1st round pick)
                3. Jae Crowder, Josh Jackson, De'Anthony Melton

I like it, I doubt he stays on the roster but if he has anything left in the tank he would make a decent mentor to JJJ for developing that rim protection.

Korver, Iggy, Dwight, Memphis had a pretty notable name lineup...of guys who were on their roster hut never played for them.

Its crazy how his career has turned. I saw a tweet that since 2012, 7 teams has owned his rights and he'll be at 8 this year. Injuries and off the court issues, has turned his career upside down. Imagine if he didn't leave Orlando

He should've left the first time and went to Brooklyn instead of staying in Orlando

The bigger wins here will be if they are bad enough to keep their own pick next year, and if Josh Jackson finally taps into that potential. Next years pick goes to Boston if it falls out of the top 6.

Either way this whole series of events was big for them because 1.) they don’t attract free agents, and 2.) their front office track record is awful, outside of lucking into Marc being a good player... So just for the sake of trying to make some moves this is a big step in the right direction for them.

Grizzlies will also waive Avery Bradley, per @davidaldridgedc https://t.co/dOADOQbwbV
