If losing Cousins is a "massive blow" then the Lakers weren't that good to begin with.

Time to pass the page on Cousins.

Not a massive blow definately but he was the guy who could've made a huge difference depending on how healthy he was.

OK so it looks like Cousins tore up his right ACL

His quad and achilles were both on the left leg which means a whole of of compensation was being loaded on the other leg.

People don’t take that quad injury serious enough. I know first hand. Dealing with it now. You have to start from ground zero. No basketball, no conditioning. Let that **** completely heal. Then get it strong as possible. And all the muscles surrounding it. All the boring ****.

If not you’ll keep re tearing it. And/or injuring other areas from over compensating.

Tell me if this thought process is crazy. It makes me think of KD. Right now the only player that has come back from a Achilles injury is Rudy Gay? And I mean like his numbers are better than what they were before. And the only reason I think he's playing so well. Is because he's not trying to play like his old self. Rudy was a bad shooter before. Obviously playing in San Antonio has improved everyone shooting. But he's not trying to play like his old self. I don't know. I expect KD to go through the same thing.

Rudy Gay can't play like he used to and he's not trying to be a star either, and he still gets time off at that.

Cousins according to Chandler keeps rushing and not healing and thus suffering further injuries.

Dude should talk to Derrick Rose and slow it down alot or its going to end up affecting him like Andrew Bynum.

He'll end up with 2 bad knees and worse. At this point the way Bigs get phased out who can't run, he'll be in that line soon enough if he doesn't do it now.

I feel bad for Cousins man. Dude can't catch a break. But if he's indeed rushing the process, I hope this helps him stop and give himself time to properly and fully heal.

ESPN news: ESPN is planning to name Rachel Nichols & Maria Taylor as the hosts of NBA Countdown for this upcoming season. Formal announcement should come in coming weeks. The expectation, via sources, is both will host the show. They'll split the assignment in some manner.

Why did Fox hardly play Pack???

Looks like with Tucker gone they only have to cut two more guys.. judging by minutes played it looks like Smart (unless he just didn’t play for other reasons) and a toss up between 4-5 other guys.




Edit: is Lopez needed assuming Plumlee and Turner stay?

I’m more so stuck on if the Lakers keep Boogie or waive him and clear 2 roster spots.. if not I’m not sure the Lakers are eager to sign anybody and fully expect them to wait on the buyout market for that last spot. If they do waive him, then I think they grab a guy now and still keep that buyout slot open.

I actually might side with Noah>Faried.. I think passing being one of his biggest strengths is a good fit for what they need. A bit more of a physical defender, which is more so what they need if they are completely against playing Davis at the 5.. which it seems they are. Faried can get up and down more, spread the floor more, give energy, but if that’s what they are looking for I think they would be better off just giving Kuzma some center time.
