Re: OK, I'll start it...thoughts on McGrady?

I still believe the difference between Kobe and TMac here is the levels of their wrongdoing.

TMac didn't try in a couple of games in Orlando < Kobe whining and feuding until his championship team is torn apart

TMac contemplating retirement < Kobe raping a woman

TMac saying early that his team was going to beat the Pistons (2 years ago in the playoffs) < Kobe jacking up horrendous shots, not passing efficiently, and playing mediocre defense against the Pistons in last year's Finals, causing his team to lose

It may look hypocritical at first glance, but when you look deeper into it, brushing off what happened with TMac is a lot less meaningful than brushing off what Kobe did.

Also, I don't see many people admitting the things I've mentioned about Kobe. TMac fans admit that TMac didn't give 100% last year, and that he shouldn't have said "We can't wait to play in the second round after we beat the Pistons" and that he shouldn't have questioned himself about leaving his team and the NBA permanently. That's behind him. It doesn't affect his team now, and shouldn't affect him in the future. What he did was wrong, he went out to the media and admitted it, and now he's moving forward.

Kobe, on the other hand... well we know how you all feel about him. Even though KDRE's signature says sarcastically "Kobe can do no wrong", I rarely see a Kobe fan go "Damn, he's havin a bad season. He needs to cut down on turnovers and raise his FG%. He shouldn't have kicked Shaq and Phil out. He shouldn't have cheated on his wife. He shouldn't be feuding with Ray Allen. He acts like a selfish little boy."

But once again, that's from my perspective... I'm sure y'all see it differently...

It works both ways. People like you will never say, "Kobe's having a great season. Kobe's taking this bunch of scrubs and has them at #6 in the Western Conference. Kobe's made his teammates better. Kobe's working his butt off night in and night out. Kobe's averaging almost 7 rbs and 7 assts per game (as a SG) while being 2nd in the league in scoring."

No you won't do that, but you will point out his low shooting % and his to's.

One quick question Brankles....Are you a girl?

          Yes, I am.
          Here's my picture.

My husband's been cheating on me, and that $4 million ring wasn't enough. I'm looking for a new, richer man. You interested?
