You first said that many players have not played their hardest, and I said when I hear about it from them(which is probably all we can believe for SURE, straight from the horses mouth), I will form an opinion.

then you bring up specific instances of players not giving it their all in a few games. I THOUGHT, based on the topic, you mean not trying their hardest through a season. therefore, I didnt think of the instances you had mentioned.

You mention the instances, I say "Oh, so your talking about those times"(In the beginning I thought you meant players dogging a season, and why wouldnt I, it was the subject of the thread).

So I say I have bashed those respective players for those instances, which I have.

It was just a misunderstanding. I thought you were talking about something like Andre Miller not playing hard two years ago because of this reason or another. I didnt know we were talking about specific games.
KDRE already shut down slip, but just a side note, Tmac did not admit to "dogging the whole season". I believe the quote was "some nights I did slack off". That = a whole season? That could mean two games, while I'm sure its alot more, by Slips rationale, the only way we can be sure is if Tmac pulls out his schedule and tells us what games he was refering to. We can ONLY be sure if its right from the horses mouth right? But its no shock to me that you equate "some nights" as meaning a whole year when its comin from Mac

KDRE you should make up the Tmac rules too and put that in your sig....this is rediculous.

You know if it was Kobe you would have a field day.

try coming up for air it may clear your head.

A certain level of backtracking, deflecting this trash at Kobe, and yes....BLATANT HYPOCRISY was expected, but to witness it at this level is un-freaking believable. Complete apathy from a mob usually armed to the teeth with pitchforks and torches at the mere hint of any selfishness, now says..."oh well, a little slacking off is OK" "well, everyone else is selfish too..he just had the balls to admit it" "errr..he's doing better now" and other complete bull****. I agree, the pace of this thread is VERY predictable. When Tmac does good, Kobe's name is attatched (example: the tmac clutch post turned into a mac vs kobe debate), when he does something wrong, its the same way (example: this post), I've learned to live with it.

I think alot of people are mad because they wanted an argument. You're wondering why it is that when Kobe did his laundry list of negative things, the world was in an uproar and 100 page posts were made. The answer you seek is so simple. Tmac fans for the most part arent trying to excuse mcgrady. Everyone has said, he was WRONG, he made mistakes, he's learning from them. Is it disgusting? sure. We all agree. There in lies the difference. You're right... if any other star did this (and by this I know you all mean Kobe) the thread would be 300 pages. Not for the reasons you think though. It's because as stated in KDRE's sig, Kobe can do no wrong. People would somehow try and spin it so he isnt in the wrong and thered be an argument that would go in circles for a dozen pages. Not one person has said mac isnt wrong, what more do you want? All the Rox fans have admitted that he's dead wrong. I cant speak for anyone else, but the way i feel is the man admitted he dogged it some games and has said that its not the case anymore. Theres nothing we can do about the past, but admit it was wrong which everyone has done. I'm looking to the present and future.
