I agree, the pace of this thread is VERY predictable. When Tmac does good, Kobe's name is attatched (example: the tmac clutch post turned into a mac vs kobe debate), when he does something wrong, its the same way (example: this post), I've learned to live with it.

I think alot of people are mad because they wanted an argument. You're wondering why it is that when Kobe did his laundry list of negative things, the world was in an uproar and 100 page posts were made. The answer you seek is so simple. Tmac fans for the most part arent trying to excuse mcgrady. Everyone has said, he was WRONG, he made mistakes, he's learning from them. Is it disgusting? sure. We all agree. There in lies the difference. You're right... if any other star did this (and by this I know you all mean Kobe) the thread would be 300 pages. Not for the reasons you think though. Kobe threads are 300 pages long because Kobe is an arrogant dick, who will NEVER be the player MJ was and still gets trillions of MJ/GOAT comparisons, and who ratted out his own teamates to the cops under pressure. Kobe is one of the LEAST charismatic superstars in sports history.

And how many times did this ridiculous community say..."OK, he was wrong, but he's trying to do better now" when KOBE has a 30-shot night? Now, its wrong, but understandable. You must be joking. Just to add in, I respect the fact that McGrady is learning from his mistakes and at least giving in the effort to be a more dedicated ball player.

But after Kobe's image issue, he has now tried to get things back on track. He is making donations, not going back and forth against Shaq (through the media), getting friendlier with teammates, etc., but when he does all this, people complain that he just wants a better image. WELL THAT'S THE POINT, ISN'T IT! If you've made mistakes, you want to change for the better and change you bad habits. That's what T-mac is doing, and that's what Kobe is doing. Both deserve respect for this. You can't say only Kobe is good, and you can't say only T-mac is good.

My post wasnt bull, its true. Yes it sucks what he said and is a slap in a face to his former teammates, but as a Rockets fan I care more about what he is doing for us NOW. Noone has said tmac is right here. As far as me not making a fat post talking about how wrong mac is, I didnt know there was a one page mac bashing minimum in order to post in your thread. I don't understand either. I guess Carter put up with this for 3 seasons or so and made a name for himself while T-mac pretty much gave up on the magic for one season and went through untouched.

What's funny is that he "gave up" and was still the leading scorer in the league.

My post wasnt bull, its true. Yes it sucks what he said and is a slap in a face to his former teammates, but as a Rockets fan I care more about what he is doing for us NOW.
